Dear ESA members attending ESA World Bogota,

The Colombian government issues a visa called PID given to academics. This grants you the privilege of paying an additional 19% tax on your hotel bill. Tourists visiting Colombia do not incur this additional tax. I would have found this information useful before filling out my MIG prior to check-in to my flight arriving in Bogota.
