I intend to put a searchable scientology-related news server
online, a hybrid between an ordinary news server and something
Deja-like.
For this purpose I am looking for a complete archive of ars,
act, nl.scientology, de.soc.weltanschauung.scientology,
es.alt.religion.cienciologia, alt.binaries.scientology, all
the small newsgroups in the ars hierarchy and any other
newsgroups with *scientolo* in their name or any non-English
equivalent of that.
For ars I need the years 2000 and 2001 until now. For all the
other groups I need everything, from the beginning of times
until now, amen.
Assuming that nobody has all of what I want on one juicy set
of CDs, I am highly interested in all partial archives of any
kind. Thus, if you happen to have half a year of act or "the
best of alt.binaries.scientology" or any other kind of somewhat
comprehensive archive, in time or in extent, I want it. I want
it badly and I want it now.
If you think you have something for me, please mail me and
let me know what you have and in what format (i.e. by which
programme it has been stored).

Both.

I was working on that for some time now. But perhaps you're right in
taking over, since my time is so limited, that I have this "project"
going for over a year now, and still only manage to keep my archive
up-to-date...
I must at this point admit that I even have several requests for
information that I haven't had the time to process..
I was almost ready to install the relevant indexing software though...
;-P

My object was rather more limited in it's first incorporation. I have
a mostly complete archive of ars, from about 1995/6 onwards. I have
not archived dsws, arc, or abs.

Same idea here. Though my ambition would be to set up the ars archive
first, and add the rest later.

Eager as always. ;-)

I have most of ars from 1995/6 and a lot of nls (very incomplete
before 1997). Lemme know what you want from me.. ;-)

My 1995 and 1992 archives are at:

http://www.skeptictank.org/gs/ars91ind.htm
However they're totally incomplete and in HTML format.

I have a collection of saved postings from nl.scientology, saved with trn
(the older ones with trn for OS/2, I changed the EOL markings on that file
when I switched to Linux in 1997 and the rest with trn 3.6 for Linux), and
of course I have my local newsspool, which runs back to nov. 2, 2000. And I
have some snapshots of older newsspools on system backups. I will see what I
can find and burn it on a CD.
