One receipt printer can be installed on each pos station running AmigoPOS. Adding a receipt printer correctly is vital to a successful installation. The following instructions describe the process of manually setting up a typical receipt printer with a parallel or serial interface. Manual installation using the MS Windows 10 Add Printer Wizard. The following instructions do not apply to most USB receipt printers, which require manufacturer device drivers. Refer to the Star USB Printer Installation topic or the Epson USB Printer Installation topic for specific instructions to install a USB interface receipt printer.
The SATO Windows Printer Drivers support all the current printer models. These printer drivers are to be used with labeling software and other Windows-based programs on the following Microsoft Windows operating systems:
I am try to develop the driver for my printer, which is working on com port. it is a thermal printer most focus on receipt printing.but i don't have any driver for this printer so now i using windows "GENERIC \TEXT ONLY PRINTER"drivers.it working but the problem is i cant control the language .i have some doubt about the windows generic text only driver
Basically for any printer has three major component in driver that are language monitor,OEM uni driver,User Interface ,that driver must developed in WDK ,for any open source available for this kind for printer driver development.
Other info: The driver installer creates a local printer port called USBPOS0 (this might have a different number at the end), and creates an entry in Programs and Features called "THERMAL RECEIPT 4.51".
The TSP650II ships with Installation CD (printer driver/ manuals), setup guide, wall mount bracket, vertical mount pads, 58mm paper guide, power switch cover, start-up paper roll and external power supply included in the box. Hello,
It seems there is a problem with the global print driver and the latest version of Windows 10 (1709)
I've tried the latest version and the version before that of the global printer driver, but the issue is the same.
Basically shared printers settings, don't transfer to clients from server, for example, we have some printers set to default paper size A3, however on clients with Windows 10 version 1709, it always shows A4 as default, while Windows 10 version 1703 clients show A3 as set.
Driver installation is a must before you use receipt printer on any systems. However, the installation process will be different according to the system you are using. We are going to show you how you can install the driver properly with a few articles.
Setting the standard for value-class thermal receipt printers, SNBC delivers an affordable POS printer that provides all popular connection interfaces, including USB, Serial and Ethernet, with state-of-the-art speed and best-in-class reliability.
When I try to uninstall the printer "manually" with either the uninstall tool or just deleting it in "Printers and Faxes" in the Control panel it works fine. Does anyone know of a way to force the deletion or maybe stop the drivers first? (It might be worth noting that the printer is not in use.)
The issue is that some user on the system has the printer installed and if you simply delete that printer from the user you can then delete the driver without issue. Using the registry method you can delete drivers that do things like cause the print spooler to crash, as managing the drivers requires the service, wonderful chicken and egg issue if you ever run in to it.
