I've had my Logitech MX Revolution for several years now, and I still like it a lot. However, when I first installed the software that came with it, Logitech's drivers required Application Enhancer (APE, which I don't want), and they kind of sucked anyway. They were glitchy and not particularly user-friendly or Mac-like.

I looked around for third-party drivers, and pretty much the best thing I found was SteerMouse, which isn't any more Mac-like than Logitech's, and is semi-poorly translated from Japanese, but is more flexible and doesn't require APE. However, it's not free.

In the time since then, I've just been using Mac OS X's default mouse drivers, but that doesn't allow me to use the nice features of the mouse like the forward/back buttons, thumb wheel, horizontal scrolling speed adjustment, auto-activation of the free-spinning scroll wheel, etc. So, now I've brought the question here: what good, free Logitech-compatible mouse drivers/software exist for Mac OS X?

It's working with other computers. I have upgraded the driver to the latest for the NUC, but it does not work. The earlier version did not work either. I guess the latest drivers is not compatible with the mouse.

I have a little problem with my logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse. When I pressing the central button of the mouse to orbit does not work, it only works if I press the central button with the left click. I would like to be able to orbit by pressing only the central button.

I would like to use my Logitech MX Master 2S Bluetooth mouse with the laptop. In fact, I have used this one a lot of months, however from the last 45 days when I use the Bluetooth mouse (as well a Microsoft 3600 bluetooth mouse), the cursor freezes every few seconds. It stays frozen for a few seconds (usually 5 seconds) and then it starts working again. The cursor is frozen even for the trackpad. I have tried all the usual solutions - unpairing and repairing the mouse, uninstalling the Bluetooth driver and reinstalling it. I had change the power management option on the Bluetooth driver and bluetooth USB windows servides but is not works or fix it. Update all drivers recommended, and lasting update my windows 10 to 11 (hopeful that my issue was solved, and it was not. I have other laptop Asus ROG and the mouse works ok, any time.

You can first try to reinstall the Bluetooth drivers with the latest version available for your device model, from the manufacturer's website. The best and cleanest way to update a driver is to remove the drivers, first from Device Manager, and then reinstall the new drivers. To do so: Press Windows + X keys and select Device Manager
There you will find the Bluetooth adapter.
Just right click and then select Uninstall
Then I rebooted the system and installed the drivers, which I downloaded from the manufacturer's website.
If the problem persists, go to the Power Management settings.
Again, press Windows + X and select Device Manager
There you will find the Bluetooth adapter
Right click and select Properties.
Then uncheck "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power"
Now test the mouse again and see if the problem is fixed.

@alsebka there is still that option as Marlin explained on top to address the buttons with numbers or anything else. you can also make profiles in the logitech software so the buttons only act as num pad numbers for instances in rhino where you make a shortcut in the command editor.

Solaar is not a device driver and does not process normal input from devices. It is thus unable to fix problems that arise from incorrect handling ofmouse movements or keycodes by Linux drivers or other software.

Drivers associated with Logitech hardware devices control communication between the device and the operating system. Removing drivers from a system can be a useful way of troubleshooting issues or reinstalling devices. For businesses making use of hardware peripherals, the number of installed drivers should be kept to a minimum to reduce system bloat. Drivers that are installed should be updated on a regular basis to apply the most recent bug fixes and improve compatibility with other software and hardware. Drivers that aren't used should be removed.
