One of the prerequisites is that I need to be able to rename the file found from the URL to a certain name (that is known by the script). I'm finding it difficult to change the filename with JDownloader's Click'n'Load 2. Additionally, integration with IDM seems impossible as it requires NPAPI which is being phased out as far as I know... let me know otherwise :)
Use the command jdownloader to start JDownloader. When you have just installed JDownloader, this will run the update tool to download some required files for JDownloader, else this will start JDownloader directly.
By default jdownloader will create a subdirectory for each file you download in your destination folder. To stop this behaviour go to Settings > Packagiser and untick the predefined rules as desired.
Preferences for individual sites can be found by going to Settings > Plugins. For example, by changing settings on the youtube.com plugin you could tell jdownloader to only download the audio from YouTube links.
Thank you for your (fast!!) response. I'm trying to reproduce the issue, but on the first download the only strange thing are all those ".iso.part" with 0 size for every normal iso file downloaded.
I think those ".part" files are generated by JDownloader as a container for each file that is being downloaded and aren't complete. Maybe when the download ends, JDownloader changes or rename the filename removing that ".part". I don't know why they are being uplodaded too to the remote when the download finishes.
Another question: Is it normal not to have the files in the cache directory during the download? I'm looking at "/share/homes/user/Downloads/cache-rclone" and there are no files during the download. I can see vfs/drivecrypt directory but always empty. Same if I change "--vfs-cache-max-age 0h0m0s" to "--vfs-cache-max-age 1h0m0s"
JDownloader supports "waiting time" and CAPTCHA recognition on many file hosting sites, enabling batch downloads without user input.[13] Premium users of one-click-host sites can use multiple connections per downloaded file, which increases download speed in most cases. It also supports Metalink, a format for listing multiple mirrors. Software updates and minor patches are released frequently; by default JDownloader updates itself upon initialization. As of 2014[update] JDownloader uses a continuous deployment system where modifications to the program code (e.g. adapting a plugin to changes in a download site's HTTP API) can be released within minutes.[12] For the beta version, frequently occurring errors in plugins are detected via automated error reports (leaving out some privacy-sensitive data including the user's IP address and the name of the downloaded file).[12]
Go to File Station and open the docker folder. Inside the docker folder, create one new folder and name it jdownloader2. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Make sure your container is shut down, which is indicated in the left column in proxmox webinterface where it shows your install grayed out. Now SSH into your proxmox host server and edit the config of the container you are running expressVPN and jdownloader in. The config is located in /etc/pve/lxc/.conf

Approximately every 6 months the FFmpeg project makes a new major release. Between major releases point releases will appear that add important bug fixes but no new features. Note that these releases are intended for distributors and system integrators. Users that wish to compile from source themselves are strongly encouraged to consider using the development branch (see above), this is the only version on which FFmpeg developers actively work. Once the download is complete, you need to give the script executable permission. This can be done with the chmod command, which changes the permissions of a file. The +x option gives the file executable permissions. Run the following command (replace JD2SilentSetup*.sh with the correct file name):
The sudo command runs the following command with superuser permissions. add-apt-repository adds a new repository to your system. The ppa:jd-team/jdownloader is the Personal Package Archive (PPA) for the JDownloader team.
