I am not sure if it's an error, but item 4 on this page takes about "The registry", specifically that Linux has a central registry for the OS... Guess I am just looking for some clarification of what you are talking about as everything I had always heard was Linux doesn't use a registry at all, but configuration files. Can you elaborate on that? It has caused some confusion in the Linux Mint group on MeWe.
