I am pleased to announce the release of Errbit 0.4.0 which is only the fourth official release of the Errbit project. If you haven't been tracking master, you'll notice a number of big changes which are highlighted in the changelog: https://github.com/errbit/errbit/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#040

Most important for users looking to upgrade are the changes to issue trackers (https://github.com/errbit/errbit#issue-trackers) and configuration (https://github.com/errbit/errbit#configuration).

I'm happy with the progress we've made so far this year. But there's still much more to do, and this seems like a good opportunity to share the plan for 0.5.0 which is taking shape on github: https://github.com/errbit/errbit/milestones/0.5.0 Please get in touch if there's something you'd like to see on the roadmap that isn't here. Personally, I want to see an even tighter focus on Errbit's fundamental goal of catching errors in the next release.

It's worth mentioning that we've had a few tries at a complete redesign of the errbit dashboard, but so far nothing that is ready to merge. These big pull requests tend to rot quickly as they need constant attention to remain mergable with master. So if you're working on a redesign effort or want to work on one, please join in those discussions:

I've also managed to reclaim errbit.com which was lost a few years ago so we have the opportunity to revamp our marketing efforts there.

Thanks to everyone who contributes time and energy to this community project. We do have many opportunities available for anyone who's looking to get involved with Errbit. As always, I'm around on GitHub and #errbit@freenode on IRC.

Death to bugs!
