This update introduces support for Touch Bar on the new MacBook Pro. The Touch Bar adds a new layer of performance tools to djay Pro using multi-touch and dynamic controls. You can scratch and slice a track, simultaneously apply filters and effects in real-time, create loops, precisely set cue points and trigger audio samples, all with the touch of a finger.
djay Pro provides a complete toolkit for performing DJs. Its unique modern interface is built around a sophisticated integration with iTunes and Spotify, giving you instant access to millions of tracks. Pristine sound quality and a powerful set of features including high-definition waveforms, four decks, audio effects, and hardware integration, give you endless creative flexibility to take your sets to new heights.
Note: In addition we have enhanced compatibility and added functionality for the all-new djay Remote 2.0 for iPhone (available on the App Store, free update for existing djay Remote users)
General:
The problem is that the crossfader fusion thing is a software thing that can not be used with an external mixer. Controllers do not actually mix audio in the mixer, but just control the software. This makes that this feature works on controllers, but not on external mixers.
Technically you probably could use a soundcard like a reloop flux as a dvs input, and then use a controller like a reloop mixtour as a mixer, handling the mixing inside the software controlled by the mixtour and thus you would be able to use a feature like crossfader fusion.
This is incredible! Question about FluidBeatgrid. Is there a way to get Djay to re-analyze tracks that were already in the previous version to update the beat grids? Or does the beat grid just get updated when you load the track for the first time?
This post is very similar to another one you recently posted were I informed you that there is a known issue with macOS 14.2.1 Beta. Can you please confirm that you have updated your macOS to an official release version or if you are still running the Beta version? Thanks.
I have a DENON PRIME GO. Due to a hardware issue or software bug, I am stuck with version 1.6.2 of the ENGINE DJ software until this is resolved (see Brand new PRIME GO - clicks and pops in output after upgrade to Engine v2.1.2 when loading, but v1.6.2 is fine )
Engine DJ platforms are ever-evolving, bringing new abilities and expanded connectivity on a regular basis. Discover all the new features and improvements of the latest updates below. For the best experience, we recommended updating to the latest version.
Some users have reported slow search speeds on Engine OS devices when searching for tracks. While large track counts on a drive can worsen the search speed, some users have found that running a Library Optimization on Engine DJ improves the search speed. To do this, connect the drive to a computer, open Engine DJ, click the gear icon, go to the library tab, and click the "Run Cleanup" button under system.
Engine Remote Library - Access the entire Engine DJ (Desktop) music collection from Engine DJ hardware over Wi-Fi or wired networks without packing a drive. Once Engine DJ hardware and desktop software are connected to the same network, users can select the Engine DJ desktop collection as a media source.
On the first use of Engine DJ 3.0, Engine DJ will migrate earlier databases to the new format while maintaining the collection structure. This process can take some time depending on your collection size. For larger databases on removable drives, it is recommended to use Engine DJ 3.0 on the desktop for faster database migration.
Active Loops -Loops can now be automatically activated when the play head enters the loop region. All eight Saved Loops can be set as Active Loops. Simply check the Active Loop box in the Saved Loop name and color pallet. Active Loops feature a zebra pattern in the loop region bar to differentiate from standard Saved Loops.
Metronome - To aid in beat grid editing, Engine DJ now features a built-in metronome. The audible metronome tick will play each time the play head passes a beat marker. To enable the Metronome, open the Beat Grid Edit panel. The volume level of the Metronome can also be adjusted from this panel.
Note that the preserved 1.x.x database can still be used in earlier versions of Engine OS 1.x.x, however, performance data changes made in the 2.0 database are not backward compatible with the previous Engine PRIME databases or Engine OS hardware running 1.x.x OS software.
The reimagined Vision Pro version of djay - already a hit on iOS, Mac, Windows and Android - enables you to mix on a set of virtual 3D turntables, interacting with them by moving the needle around or scratching. You can position yourself in various immersive environments, and there are light shows that respond in time to your performance.

Performance features such as loops, rolls and hot cues are all accessible. The free version includes five essential effects which all work post-fader. Also included in the free version is a basic auto-mix mode which is excellent for making playlists more house party friendly.
To unlock the full suite of performance features within DJ Pro 2 you will have to pay a subscription, currently $4.99 per month or $39.99 annually. Sadly there is no way of purchasing the software outright in one purchase like you can with Serato or Rekordbox.
The premium version of DJay really unlocks the true potential of the app. You can now plug and play with over 50 of the best controllers in the market. These include devices by Pioneer DJ, Numark, Hercules and many more!
Both the iPhone and iPad also have access to the looper. The looper is a bank of downloadable sample packs that can be mixed and synced into your mix. You can add more sample packs free of charge by downloading them from the inbuilt store. Supplied by Loopmasters these sound great and the functionality almost feels like a carrying a miniature launch pad in your pocket.
Outputting in 1080p DJay Pro 2 can mix two decks of video, with various transitions and custom image and text overlays. On top of this, you can download custom visualizers for audio tracks, including the sampler packs! You can even choose to show images over the tracks if you wish, perfect for bar offers or maybe a photo slideshow at a wedding!
Algoriddim has kept everything that makes the iOS version so brilliant and simply added more performance to the app for the laptop version. The app is available from the App Store for 48.99 and there is no subscription option.
Designed to complement the Windows Surface line of devices, Algoriddim has even gone to the trouble of integrating the use of the surface dial device. The balance between touch input and keyboard/mouse has been implemented very well and must have been difficult to develop forgiven the transforming nature of the modern Windows devices.
Introducing App Academy, our free to watch mini-series that will break down your first few mixes on Algoriddim DJay Pro. With free music downloads to play along, we break down the bare essentials so you can get started mixing straight away within the app. We will be adding more free lessons in the future so make sure to subscribe and click the bell icon to be notified when they are released!
Note: djay for Android is developed to work on the Android operating system. However, due to the vast number of Android devices available in the market, some devices may not support every feature of the app. Specifically, external audio interfaces (like the ones integrated in some DJ controllers) are not supported by some Android devices.
