Management taking over the playroom

I spoke with Shulie yesterday and he said the ER Board, whose decision it was to take over management of the playroom, would be contacting us. He called this morning to get the playroom email but I just checked it and nothing yet. Apparently maintenance will do basic cleaning and the office will handle money and keys. They will solicit volunteers from the member base to do things like keep toys clean and up to date, etc. 

We'll need to get them keys and money. I am happy to coordinate that. I have most if not all of the keys I think -- does anyone else have any? I don't actually know anything about contacting the key company though. Lauren, do you have the contact info there so we can pass it along?

Anyone have any cash?

Greg, how to best transfer the bulk of the playroom money from the PayPal account?

Malky, I think you might be the only one with a key to the lock box... Have you checked it recently? We should make sure it's empty and give them the key. 

I also told him we'd give him the list of emails of all the members. Heather/Haddassah, do you have this? Any other documents that would be useful for them to have?

I'd like to encourage communication between management/the Board committee and playroom members as I think it is in the best interest of the playroom and hopefully will lead to fair representation of all voices that wish to be heard in future. Here's hoping anyway. 

Anything I'm forgetting about?

By the way, as rumor had it a while back they will be discontinuing parties at the playroom and directing them toward the community room, which they will be refurbishing. I asked when the community room would be ready -- they're starting work in September/October -- and requested that parties be allowed in the playroom until the work is completed. Shulie said he had no problem with that.
