Hi all,

Just got a call from a Hillman board member. Hillman is preparing to open the old playroom as a renovated community room (with it's own rules, hand-scanners, video recording security, etc.).

ER board member(s?) have asked if we would be okay letting current ER Playroom members who only want to be members of Hillman's community room going forward (and not ERPR) get a pro-rated refund that they could only apply to Hillman community room membership.

Hillman wants to include our decision about this in their announcement about the community room this week.

*** Are we okay with pro-rating a refund so families can apply the refunded amount to Hillman community room membership?

*** And is this financially feasible?

Personally, I'm okay with doing this. I don't expect much of an exodus and the loss should be offset by decreased use.

Please respond ASAP. Hillman would like to know the right wording by Wednesday afternoon to have their memo out by weeks end.

Best,
Brian

Hi all,

It seems ok to me but someone who knows more about our finances should weigh in.

I wonder if this request came from the same person/people who don't want birthday parties to be held in the ER playroom. Did we ever hear anything more about that?

Best,
Hadassah

I'm fine with it too. We can't very well say no -- have a feeling it just wouldn't sit right -- and I agree that I wouldn't expect a mass exodus or anything.

Johanna is likely right. We  would probably get some blowback if we said no.

I told the hillman board member we are ok with the proposal.
