The EROC General Meeting will be on Zoom on Tuesday, 10/14, from 6 to 8 PM. There will be three topics on the agenda
A presentation by Public Works on modifications to East Riverside Drive.
Reports by EROC volunteers on area parks
Discussion of the new navigation center at 2401 S. I-35:
On Thursday 10/9, City Council approved the purchase of the property at 2401 S. I-35. The goal of this item will be to request resources for this area to reduce crime and homeless camps. Charles Loosen of the Homeless Strategy Office and Monique Cooper, Policy Analyst for District 3 will attend. We have also requested representatives from APD and Code Enforcement.
EROC residents should be prepared to offer constructive suggestions to the city staff (See attached QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS). We will have about 1 hour for this topic, so we need to use it wisely to request additional resources, rather than spend the time complaining to city staff. Please do not shoot the messengers.
Also, City Council said they want to form a committee of area residents to advise City Council on navigation center issues. EROC residents need to volunteer to join this committee.
The EROC Contact Team is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
