(android do not natively support NTFS, my phone does not recognize NTFS, didn't want third party file manager, need to transfer files between windows and android, my phone can only format sd card into a single partition fat32 filesystem with no any other options, so fat32 it is)

The Phone experienced sudden reboot during the file transfer to SD card(phone's USB C port to SD card reader). Before chkdsk scan and repair, I used command line chkdsk read-only and it shows no error, I browsed some of the card's folders and played a partly transferred media file, all were normal, that partly transferred media can playback what it partly got transferred which is reasonable.

The windows was prompting me to scan and fix the sd card right after I insert the card reader into PC's usb port, I ignored it at first and tried what I described above, everything was okay. But after a few times of the safe remove and reinsert the sd card reader, the prompt still remain, so I gave the scan and repair a try, then the folder contain that half transferred file and some of other folders and files in the sd cards root folder all disappeared and turned into a Found.000 folder filled with .CHK files.

Another thing is, after the phone suddenly reboot by itself, it was not recognizing sd card reader, I tried eject - pull out - plug it back in multiple times, tried the windows's suggestion to scan and fix, still nothing, then I reboot the phone manually and plug in the reader, it was recognized and files in it was playable.

Chkdsk cares about consistency of the file system and tries to fix that as others in the comments already mentioned. In the process it mostly fixes 'references', chances are actual file content is recoverable as long as no more repair attempts are made. So chkdsk removes references for files from file system and saves data from now unreferenced clusters to these .chk files.

It is the same problem with me too. On waking up win 10 does not recognise the correct password. I found that the lower case letters typed automatically get converted into upper case letters and numerics and special characters are not being typed at all. This started after my latest Windows update.

I suffer this problem occasionally and could not work out why. I have started to track this down recently to when Windows 10 or Microsoft is doing a silent install (which it does too frequently when not active).

When the computer wakes up from power save it wants a Password or PIN but the correct one is not accepted. If you use START:POWER you see that the computer asks for "update and shutdown" or "update and restart". I pick "update and shutdown" and then boot the computer; it now accepts the normal password or PIN to logon as usual.

There is something strange when these silent installs happen in Windows 10 and the computer needs restarting because nothing tells you this after waking up from power save and your computer Password or PIN will not be accepted. This is a really annoying feature in Windows 10

Yes. It is annoying. If you see a grey screen for 5 seconds saying please wait while starting your computer, the password is not recognised. Shut down and start up again. Windows is now terrible. To think you can just switch on your computer and do some work lol not with Windows. My next computer will NOT have windows.

I am almost too committed to Windows having cussed at Windows 95, 98, Millenium, 2000, XP and now 10. I deployed 10 over XP 2 PCs configured almost identically. One went well whereas the other was a 2 week process culminating in a $200 purchase that, so far, has required multiple sessions with tech support over 5 months, restoration of the data partition of the hard drive from a backup, restoration of the OS partition as a manual re-install all my software [keep those serial numbers, discs, place of purchase, date of purchase, passwords, etc and never, EVER ASSUME THAT THE MICROSOFT ONE DRIVE WILL BE THERE WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST]. Same setup, software environment, manufacturer and Windows 10 is a completely different animal between the 2. Geeks will want you to change your password from time to time for a variety of reasons but they don't know how to say that so they tell you that YOU forgot YOUR password even if you have it correctly written/typed in 10 places [never in Hindi; 10 knows better!].
