Ok, I saw this quote at gnawed -
The map is not the territory. -- Alfred Korzybski -- General Semantics

So I will use the word "map" todays 10 min of exercise 3.

28!? You're going to get a hundred arrows for 28 things somehow in 10
minutes each day? Whoa.

When that noun in the center gets old and you've done 100 arrows
(maybe more with diligent use of the four roads) or so for 3 or 4
things in the center, then you can carefully put yourself in a
location you've been at some time in the past, some place very
familiar but not exactly comfortable. In other words, not at home
behind a locked door. I chose my high school study hall. That was
centered and I ran the arrows of contiguity out until they were gone.
The people, the teacher monitoring the group, the library in front of
the; and part of the study hall. Where the globe was. Where certain
books I'd read were kept. The encyclopedia.

Then I ran out the rest of the roads of thought. AND THEN, The
smells, the noises, the temperature, and at one point I let in the
trumpet rendition of the old Schlitz beer song that came into the open
windows in the back: When you're out of Schlitz, you're out of
beer. The whole thing by my buddy who was by himself in the bandroom
and stuck his horn outside the band room and broke up the studious
mood in study hall. The principal, Max, had us that day and he was
hot. Back to seeing where I am.

Place yourself, at first, somewhere that you've been and concentrate
on being there. Even the erection I'd get when Rocky sat in profile.
A true test to get back to noticing other things in study hall. lol
Even the classes and teachers that I was studying for. Flies buzzing
around? Be there.

I may be misunderstood. Cat is the subject of concentration. Get 100
arrows or more. Then "crystal" goes in the center however long it
takes to get a good 100 arrows. Then "map." I'd say no more than a
half dozen carried to completion. I couldn't get 100 in 10 minutes.
If you are having trouble figuring about how many you've done, use
the pen and paper. You'll have a better idea how it feels to get a
hundred or so. Now that you have a feeling for THAT go ahead and
place yourself somewhere familiar and try to get the feeling of a 400
or so arrow count. Hey, at least this isn't like learning to play
banjo Earl Scruggs style where you are told to practice a pattern for
at least a thousand times.

no. what I mean is exercise 3 needs to be done for a month. In the 13-moon calendar, a month lasts 28 days. So I will need 28 words, 1 for each day.

I cant say I like that song very much. It's OK... but I like the rock songs from the Moody Blues much more.

What exactly is the motivation for doing that?

I wonder if I should've taken my first year as an Eck member seriously. I have nothing better to do when having dreams at night!

Maybe I will pick up the pieces and re-start year #1.

I have had a true 3rd eye tank experience recently, without even trying for it.

I heard this high pitched whining sound and I was whirling around and around in circles in the tank... then it subsided.

I decided to put my attention on my third eye again and the whirling and high pitched sound started again.

I'm starting to sleep in my tank now, so I expect even more wild adventures soon!

I think I get it.  But in 10 minutes how are you going to manage 100 arrows worth of relationships?  And then do the same with another object of concentration the next day?  That be some mind.

You have to get a sense of what 100 connections is like for a few things, then proceed to some place, a familiar location, as the object of concentration.  The only way I know for sure of what 100 connections and the types feels like is to do it on paper.  Sure it's slow, a pain in the ass, and somehow too beginnerish but, I'm game for some other way if you've got it.  Whatever works.  I can tell what's gonna work.  I don't want to do it for some very logical reason.
