I recently received an email from Sally Smith at Bethel regarding some issues she was having upgrading to the newest ERMes version. I am posting to the group so those of you who have had similar issues can see how we solved them.
The "Find" function in Database/Cost History form was giving her an error. Two things to note:
- Find will not work unless both database AND vendor are filled in on the entries.
- The tab order for the first two fields was switched and Find was trying to search on the vendor field.
Once vendors were filled in and the tab order was fixed, her issues went away.
The All Vendor Editor seems to have a glitch in it that making minor adjustments to the form layout will not save. I do not know if that is intentional or not, but she ended up making a new form and copy/pasting everything from the old form to the new one. I had read somewhere that there are a limited number of edits one can make to a form in Access and once that limit is reached, no more can be made. It may be complete bunk, but the form worked fine once we started with a new one. Anyone else have that issue?
