Hi,
I am pleased to announce the next, rather belated, release of ErlyDTL, version 0.8.0 [1].
As you may have heard [2], Evan has handed over the reins for ErlyDTL to me, to keep the project moving forward.
My initial work will focus on Django compatibility while (at least) maintaining our good performance.
Along with that work will also be a set of changes that is going to make ErlyDTL more flexible/extensible. The primary goal with this is for Zotonic to be able to use our mainline ErlyDTL along with Zotonic specific extensions/customizations. The benefit being that we can focus our efforts on the common parts of the template engine into one project.
In order to achieve these goals, I will need as much help as you can offer, with reporting deviations in functionality compared to that of Django (both recent and old versions welcome) as well as with testing and trying all the new features that are to come.
Best Regards,
Andreas Stenius
