Hey Guys,

Sam Bobroff over at ShoreTel has released a project that natively
turns an erlang node into a unix daemon that can live under standard
daemon-y things like daemon tools. While it needs some love its been
in production for a long time at his company and is well tested. I
encourage you to take a look and test it out. This is a pretty general
problem those folks have solved.
