subscribers only posting will help.
on most lists i set it to be first post moderated.. This means you
need only approve the occasional poster.
Another method is to ask people at question before they can subscribe.
Something as simple as "do you like erlang?"

I moderate a google group and had the same problem. I solved the
situation by setting it so that first time posters need to be
approved first - you get an email, click a link. Nice and simple.
