Justputting this out there for anyone else buying from this site. I never have much issues with online retailers except for an

occasional corner ding from Gemini mailers.

So this order really surprised me. I have ordered from Unknown comics I think 3 or 4 times with no issue before. This order

I had order 10 ASM sketch blanks and 3 Venom 1 Kirkman covers.

I get the order and all 10 of the ASM blanks have a large dents in the middle of the cover. At first I thought shipping damage

from some sort of impact, but the boards weren't bent and it was on the same spot on every book.

I finally had to file with paypal and then I only get a response on the last day they can respond. "Our entire shipment was damaged."

is basically the reply I got. I would have accepted almost any reply but that.

That right there tells me they knew about the damage before they shipped it to me. So 2 months later and a lot of typing

I am sending the books back to them at my cost so I can get a refund. I am out my time(which is the biggest issue), $16 in shipping

and supplies, and several books I wanted.

Take what you want from the above, but that was my last order from them ever.

However to be fair the latest item estimated ship date was expected by 12/30 , but an update on a paid preorder, almost 6 months ago would be nice. (especially when the latest expected date (Exclusive Pre-ordered CGC graded 9.8 ) item has shown up on eBay over 2 months ago.

I usually phone them (806)290-1308 or hit them up on Facebook messenger when I have a problem. They're in TX so they're in the central time zone. I've never had a problem getting a response from an actual person.

I used to be a big fan of theirs but I do not agree with how they are flooding the market with variants. What I found to be most dissapointing and greedy on their part was marking their variants as sold out after a certain amount was sold on their website but they were holding back stock until the prices began to rise and then began selling them at eBay prices. I found that if you just wait a few months you can get their back stock at a huge discount to even what they were initially selling for on previous order.

their order fulfillment times have also slipped. when it was a pre-order I could understand why it took a while to receive but my last order towards the end of September was for items that had already been out for a couple of months so I figured it wouldn't take more than a couple of weeks to receive. I just got them at the beginning of January. 3 months is too long to wait. I may not order from them again.

If you are a retailer buying wholesale and receive books that are damaged, can you send them back for a refund? In this condition focused hobby (especially with moderns), one would think that any supplier would know that shipping damaged products will result in returns. But I am not sure if they honor that type of request from a retailer.

Glad they came in finally, the raw books ranged from 9.2-9.6. Tthe graded Parrillo trade dress supposedly was the big delay released on August 28th, and CGC was slow at grading. (The explanation for the delay that I was given.)

I have 2 preorder slabs that I ordered from Unknown in June of 2023 that were scheduled to ship in February of 2024 ( I think the books were released some time in the fall, so the timeline was fine).

It is now July 2024, and neither of these books has shipped. I've written multiple times to customer service and either gotten no reply, or a 'we're working on it' reply. The last email I sent I just asked for a refund, which seems like the easiest path forward (no response).

I won't ever buy anything on their website again, sometimes they do some pretty good sales, but the shipping from the site seems like 'you get it when you get it,' and customer service, while usually polite, is completely ineffective. Maybe they should change the name to: ShipDateUnknown Comics.

I guess I just want to give them the benefit of the doubt about the unshipped books - that, and the books are really worth much, or are particularly rare (relatively speaking), so I'm not too bothered, but I get your point.

I'll keep bothering customer service & chalk it up as a learning experience (don't order on the website). Honestly I'd be perfectly happy if they were just more communicative - if they would actually respond to email with a reasonable response - even 'hey sorry we're still working on it, but if you'd like a refund let us know' but apparently even bottom of the barrel customer service is out of reach for Unknown.

Pre-ordered a few CGC slabs from them back in April and May of last year. To their credit, the raw books shipped fairly quickly and arrived in good condition. However, it's been a complete dumpster fire in attempting to get my graded pre-orders or any real commitment as to when (if) I will ever receive them. I have a reminder set each month to ask for an update and typically get a response back from Carol or Meridith rehashing the same song and dance about "The CGC team is currently experiencing a delay and we're waiting to hear from them" or "Our CGC team is currently doing a system wide audit to be able to give us an update with where they are at on CGC submissions."

Based on feedback from others in this forum, Reddit, and the BBB, the company is poorly run, poorly managed, with the owner quite possibly being a crook and having little regard for customer service once they have your money. It's a shame, too, as they do occasionally have some nice looking store variants. However, given the shenanigans with Frankie's Comics, HotShot Comics, and Unknown Comics, I've pretty much sworn off retailer exclusives unless I can physically purchase it onsite at a show or convention.

So in the interest of actually putting some new content out, I thought it would be fun to post this. A little over a year ago I wrote a script for a Pokemon live action movie that pulls elements from both the anime and the games as a practice exercise. It was probably the fastest

So as you can read about in the post below, the new site is up! However I wrote that post in advance of the actual launch, and some unforeseen problems came up. There are still some features that need to be added to the site and most of the Muh Phoenix comics. We tried to

As the post says, the new site is live! For those of you out of the loop, the comic gallery on the old site stopped being supported, so the comics stopped working. Additionally, the security on the site was pretty poor, and the comment section had become flooded with bots. In the end it seemed
