Hi there,

I wonder how to model publications and page numbers in (E)CRM in a way that it suits the FRBRoo.

For instance, I want to say that
A specific "Work of Art" (E84) is documented in (P70) a specific "museum catalog" (E31) on (P??) a page 13 (E??).

What would be a FRBRoo conformant property and class for page?
Any ideas?

Best regards
Georg

I’ve done it in cidoc as something along the lines of document E31 has parts, part is identified by page number (identifier)

Dear Georg,
Have you made a decision on this yet? I am interested how you solved it.
I do not think FRBRoo specifies this at this stage.
Still, I when I have this kind of problem (e.g. recently I did not knot
how to represent the dimensions of ALL issues of a periodical [F18
Serial Work]), it turns out that somebody on the frbr...@ics.forth.gr
list has already encountered the same problem and proposed a (possibly
unofficial) solution.
Then, probably, doing this the FRBRoo way would include finding the
expression and the work (possibly serial), and then maybe the article
about the work of art would have to be an expression fragment...
I recently described a mapping from the Mona system format used by the
National Museum of Poland to CIDOC CRM. I was so happy there would be no
FRBR this time - but forgot about the bibliography section

Yes. Geoffs proposal seems to be the easiest way to solve this. I attached a file which shows this solution.

Really? It would surprise me if the FRBR does not have a notion of a page ...
