Is it possible to do XSL transformations with xmerl or is there other
Erlang library capable of doing this?

I think xmerl_xs[1] might help you. Some examples here[2].

What I need is to produce another XML document through the XSL
transformation. I really don't see how I can use xmerl_xs to accomplish
this.
