Dear erlang-on-xen members,

We have published today a draft document that describes a new distribution and clustering
layer for Erlang on Xen. The transparent message passing between nodes is arguably the
most attractive feature of Erlang. Yet the all-to-all connectivity of a cluster is usually frowned
upon and the infamous epmd daemon feels out of place.

The suggested new clustering uses 9p connections heavily. The remote message passing
is just a write operation on a remote 'file'. Redundancy achieved by mounting several remote
(synthetic) filesystems at the same mounting point.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome. I hope this effort will benefit the Erlang/OTP
distribution mechanisms too.

One again, the link to the document: http://erlangonxen.org/more/clustering

With best regards,
Maxim
