I've have been attempting to use my ipad mini with kindle/audible to have immersion reading where I can read my book while having the audible playing and the words being highlighted. I'm located in Canada and not sure how to set this up properly. would really appreciate any help

So I am unable to purchase any books for the kindle from my ipad (argh). I could go to my pc and purchase them etc, but its pretty inconvenient, and sometimes/traveleing I only have my ipad. Any suggestions? Is this something peculiar with my ipad, or ipad-Is ... or ?

Its been a few years, but I wanted an alternative to Safari and I found a mobile "google search" browser for the ipad (3.01) in the 'store' (Form Google Inc) which I downloaded/installed etc. It doesn't have explorer or chrome notations.

Thank you. I went to my purchased apps and there was an update for kindle. I updated the app and it now works. I wanted to try the reboot but couldn't locate the sleep and home buttons. Maybe I should read up on where these buttons are. Thank you for your help with this matter

Tried the first method you suggested. It didn't work for me. What I have to keep doing which is very annoying is power down and restart the iPad. This does unfreeze the material I am trying to read. The problem is that if I leave the kindle content and do something else on my pad or don't use it for a few hours the Kindle material is once again frozen and I have to restart the iPad. Do you think I should delete the Kindle app completely and the reload it? This all started when Kindle changed the look of their app icon to the child reading a book.

My son has an iPad mini and my daughter has a kindle. They have never had a problem connecting and playing together across a lan connection until recently. If she tries to connect with him it gives an outdated client message. If he tries to connect with her it says locating server and never connects. I have checked and it shows both have same version of minecraft pe. I have checked devices and they are updated. Nothing has changed with our internet connection. I even made them both a Microsoft account and logged them both in that way and same results. Please help-they are heartbroken! I have tried contacting other support sites and have gotten nowhere.

I just bought a Kindle book to be sent to my iPad. Got notification that it had worked but I can't find it. Every time I go to the Kindle app I just get the last page read on the only other book I have in my Kindle library. On the Kindle help page I was told to make sure I synced, but I can't get out of the last page read. Can anyone help please?

I just got a new ipad with OS 15.2 on it. I can't get the amazon kindle app to work. It keeps telling me there is a network error and I need to connect to the internet, but the ipad is on the internet, and other apps work just fine. I can use the browser to access websites.

Anyway, the kindle app works just fine on my phone, with OS 15.1.1, and on my old ipad, with an older os. I was on a very long customer support call with Amazon, and we tried everything, from resetting the new ipad to reinstalling the kindle app to trying to run the ipad using a mobile hotspot instead of my wi fi.

Nothing works. At this point it appears that the kindle app isn't working with the new os for ipads. Aside from continuing to use my old ipad for reading kindle books and never updating it, what can I do about this? Is there a fix the way there was for some of the kindle app issues in the past with upgrades to new mac computer OSs?

Thank you Bas333, I have looked at previous discussions on this matter and provided a link to a discussion that helped resolve a Kindle app issue. Not the same issue but the resolution may help with your issue.

First Switch on airplane mode/disable wifi. Open the Kindle app. You may or may not get a connection message. Wait for minute or so and then turned the wifi back on, and after that the kindle app should load properly.

I have another ipad from that 2012 that has Kindle for ipad on it and I use it 4 or 5 hours every day for reading. I presumed that I could buy one for my mum and download the same. If it works on mine, why would they make it so freaking difficult to make it work on another exactly the same, if not for vast monetary gain. So, back to my original question, on my exactly the same ipad, same date, same memory, why can I use Kindle App on one and not the other? And how can I download it on the other so that my old mother in hospital can listen to stuff on Audible and read on Kindle? I can do that on my exactly the same spec ipad. Confused.com.

Wrong! I have two ipads the same spec and the same memory. The one I have had from the beginning has Kindle Appnand I regularly use if for reading. The one I bought for my mother is the same spec exactly. I bought it assuming it would do the same as the one I already have. I checked every detail before I bought it to make sure it was the same. However, the one I bought won't download what my other one has. I bought the exact same model as I use every day, believing I could use Kindle for ipad on it, but it won't let me. I've tried going through the endless hoops offered on here, for the last seven hours, but none work. What shall I do? Buy my mother one that costs 200 more that'll get nicked from the hospital?

In terms of whether there is an option, did you try the suggestions in the link Micahala provided from user MichelPM? If after you've tried those suggestions and you still can't get the Kindle app, then no, there is no way you can get the Kindle app on the newer ipad.

I downloaded the Kindle app and the Amazon store app. When I go to purchase a kindle book, it says "this mobile application does not currently support digital downloads." Do I need a different app or are you not able to get kindle books on the Ipad?

You should be able to purchase kindle books via the Amazon website on Safari. As long as the Kindle app is linked to your Amazon account you should then be able to go into the Kindle app, click on the Cloud tab on it, and then download your kindle ebooks directly in the app

Once a book is on your Kindle device or reading app, you can read it just like any other Kindle Book. For specific help reading on your device (like how to change the font or save a bookmark), visit Amazon Device Support.

I have already rebooted the ipad and I have found that a large number of users are reporting that the most recent Kindle update is causing the crash. However, uninstalling and reinstalling the app is not an option because the library of books I have on the app will be lost. I have nearly 5000 books in my Kindle account. Finding the 100 or so books that I had housed on the IPad would be impossible. I need to know whether the backup of my Kindle app on iCloud has the books I've downloaded or only the app. If it does, I can uninstall the app. If not, I need to look for another solution.

I don't use kindle but would suspect that the app data is backed up. However with 5,000 books on your device it should be somewhat obvious if they are included in your back up by looking at the back up size for that that app.

While the tip to check the size of the app backup is helpful, I don't have 5000 books on the iPad (I'm not sure that is even possible.). What I said was that I have approximately 100 books and thus it would be impossible to cull them from my Amazon list of 5000 to re-download them. I've checked the storage size on my Kindle app and it is similar to many other apps. It did not tell me anything new. But thanks anyway...

It sounds to me like the whole discussion is moot at this point. If the kindle app no longer opens or runs on your iPad, what difference does it make if they are backed up or not? At this point, all you can do is try re-installing the kindle app, then try a restore from your iOS backup. But if the books are not there, then you will have to re-download them - either way, if that is the only way to get the Kindle app working again, that is what you have to do.

For what it is worth, I do believe the books in your library on the device itself are part of the iOS backup, like most other app data (I know my Nook library is part of my iOS backup). But again, even if they were not, what else can you do if the kindle app is non-responsive now?
