AnywayI have been trying to get the drivers for it but it seems it is a Windows XP computer. I installed Windows 7 and I don't think they work right. I am about to wipe it again and install XP. I'd really like to keep Windows 7. My device manager is showing standard graphics card but I don't think that is what is in it. Could someone tell me what is in this computer and where to get drivers? Or let me know if I should put XP back in and what drivers I need. HELP!!!! Also, when on the internet I can't see the whole web page. Makes it hard to play some games. I have been trying to fix this mess for the last two weeks. Is there a program I can run that will tell me exactly what is installed in this monster??

Most of the DV8000 series has drivers posted for Vista- which may work in Windows 7. Which specific model do you have? Check the Service Tag attached to bottom for "full" model number or better yet Product Number (P/N)

I believe the serv tag # is dv8235nr. It's a little worn. LOL Sorry. I believe it has nVidia graphics card. Maybe. LOL I just want to make sure I am putting the corrects drivers in, if I have to go back to XP, so be it!! Thank you very much for the quick response. Looking forward to hearing from you again.

When I go to DEVICE MANAGER/Other devices it only shows 'Mass Storage Controller'. Under Network adapters I'm showing 'Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection and Intel PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection. Also under MONITOR it is showing 'Generic Non-PnP Monitor' shouldn't it show my monitor?

The OS version is Windows 10 Home 21h2. After a very recent update, it can no longer detect and audio output. Upon entering device manager it said no Intel High Definition Audio Drivers were installed and attempting to update via device manager gave no results. If anyone know where I can get a driver for this or some other fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I found the issue. If you are experiencing the same problem as me, open Device Manager and expand the System Devices drop-down. The issue was an outdated Intel Smart Sound Driver it seems and once that was updated the problem was fixed.

Thanks for the help, unfortunately there seems to be a problem with installing and deleting drivers as the corrupt one reappears after deleting and rebooting. The problem Driver is labelled as Other Devices and named Intel High Definition Audio(Error code 28). Would you know what to do?

Hello, how was you able to fix the outdated Intel Smart Sound Driver? I have a HP pavilion x360 as well that runs on Microsoft Window 10 (64-bit) and I'm experiencing the same problem like you had. The same person, BANHIEN, that helped you out, told me to install Realtek audio drivers from the Intel website since updating to a new OS (Windows 11), that the older OS (Windows 10) audio drivers won't be supported afterwards.

All was working well. resent update result in audio failure. There is no device installed and can not be fix with drivers from Microsoft update site or manually. When connect external speaker sound is ok.

Thank you a million for posting this solution. It fixed my absent internal speakers and microphone, plus missing Bluetooth mic, issues that I've been having for months. I thought it was a hardware issue, as both HP's and Microsoft's automatic problem scanners could pick up no issue. Now that you showed the issue is in some Intel system driver that didn't update properly, I now recall back that the last time things were working, my PC was running very hot (meaning it was doing an update). Then the audio stopped. HP and Microsoft (and Intel): you should be ashamed.

How install bang olufsen sound drivers hp pavilion game. there are nothing in driver center. there is one driver for sound, but when i downloaded and want to install. say not support your system! i tried to remove all driver and its same!

but recently i got strange problem! when i listen music and when i open one page or do something in my laptop i can hear noise in music! or stop like one second hang/crash and run again! i have watched task manager in cpu and hard disk and....

The HP Driver Packs contain the Microsoft Windows drivers in .INF-based installation format. This INF installation method can be used standalone or with bare-metal operating system deployment tools that require .INF-based drivers. Select 32-bit or 64-bit to see a list of platforms (notebooks and tablets, workstations, and desktops) and the respective driver packs under the operating system.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, by 2035, total freight demand is predicted to increase by 88%, increased road congestion. However, significant carrier and shipper imbalances throughout the North American transportation network are already complicated by unpredictable economic growth, a shortage of drivers, new environmental restrictions and reduced capacity across the truck and rail network.

In a rapidly changing world, it has become essential for carriers, shippers and investors to gain a deeper understanding of value drivers and find new ways to deliver a positive impact for all stakeholders. They must seek out new technologies and business models to prepare for the future.

Little explained that without open, trusting, collaborative relationships, rail freight transportation will miss the opportunity to adopt new technologies because their business models will be unable to adapt quickly enough to compete with other transportation modes.

Installing Ubuntu on this new machine i had various problems, so I asked around ask ubuntu for a solution. This is the latest one! :DWhen I start the pc it shows the temperature around 50-55. When I open chromium it shows 60+ (61,62,63). It even gets to 67-68 when multi-tasking 2 apps. The fan is working slightly louder than in windows 7. Talking about windows 7, the temperature is 45-50 when idle, 50-53 when working in browser. Im already loosing it with this machine. You can find specs hereIt says 'technishe daten' below the picture. Click that tab and you will reach the specs.

After some researching and refering to the above link posted by hekiko81 my status is as following : After using only hekiko81's solution the system would boot but without fancy 3d effects and when I 'fglrxinfo' to get details about current VGA i get the following :

So my conclusion is that ati drivers aren't properly installed.

This is error was due failed ATI proprietary drivers downloaded from official amd page. (Installed correctly). I thought then that using ATI drivers isn't the best idea since I have an integrated intel HD 3000 (sandy bridge) GPU (with ATI AMD Radeon HD 6470M). So I reinstalled ubuntu 11.10 and did the following to solve the problem :

1. I used Intel integrated drivers

since all eye candies worked well with integrated gpu i stuck with it (used default ubuntu open drivers)

2. Followed this guide from Ubuntu Forums

I used only 1. and 2. (a,b) in this tutorial :

to lower the temperature of cpu and to slow down the fan. (to enable this permanently go back to step 2). When you enable this your GPU temperature reading will disappear (shows -128c) but when you restart it will measure GPU as usual.

BONUS

For measuring temperature I advise you to use XSensors (sudo apt-get install XSensors) and calibrate your sensors with sensors-detect

That is pretty it. Give me feedback on this solution, it worked for me on HP Pavilon g6, it gave me severe headache though. In the end my temperatures where 43-45 when idle; 48-55(60 when using much resources).
