Same thing started for me on Saturday. I've rebooted TV's and Routers, uninstalled/install the channel and still nothing. I can't even log in to Paramount from my PC. I disabled WIFI on my phone and was able to log in to Paramount using cellular data with no problem. I am in Delaware and use a local WIFI service that I love and has excellent service, unlike Comcast and Verizon. They are looking into the issue. I called Paramount on Sunday morning and the customer service person I spoke with had no advice and escalated it to another department, still waiting for an answer from them. I don't think it's a ROKU issue but Paramount takes it upon itself to block ISP they "think" may be out of the country.

Thanks for sharing this information with us, and we acknowledge the concern you've encountered. For now, we recommend reaching out to the internet service provider since this issue is related to the configuration of your network and its location.

My ISP fixed the problem. Made a change, rebooted my service and I'm back on. Had the same problem a few years ago when I tried to subscribe to HULU LIveTV,. It worked for about 2 days and then I was blocked. My ISP tried working out a solution but HULU wouldn't cooperate, so I cancelled HULU LiveTV. Since that time, HULU and the ISP have sorted it out as well.

I too am having the problem which likely began around that time frame with Uverse and a TCL/Roku TV. I can watch on my Apple IPAD over wireless without issues. I also noticed on my TV that my last ROKU software update was 1/24/24 and is version 12.5.5 Build 4174. Is it a coincidence that this SOFTWARE UPDATE process fails after step 1 of 3 and states it is "unable to connect to the Internet"? When I am watching everything else on the same TV streaming HBO, Prime, Netflix etc?

Please be aware that the Roku Community only supports the English language, and we had to use Google Translate to understand your concern. We want to further investigate this issue that you had. Where are you currently located right now? Are you using a VPN?

I have the same issue, I did call my internet provider and it seems of all the tv in the house this is the only showing the message for paramount plus, saying out of region.. mind you we live in California

We need to know if your subscription is under Roku or directly from the app. If it is from Roku, we advise you to cancel your subscription first to remove the app, then restart the system and re-install the channel. You can also visit our support page to learn how to remove channels from your Roku streaming device. If the issue persists, we highly suggest you directly contact the Paramount+ channel regarding this concern because many channels/apps on Roku are created, maintained, and updated by the channel providers. You can contact them here: Paramount+ customer service.

Hi there my fellow NextDNS Users! I am currently on little over 2yrs with using NextDNS and absolutely love it! My only problem is whenever I use Paramount Plus on any device either my Android Tablet, FireTV or my computer it will not play anything with the server running but when I disable it, it works just fine. I try deleting all the Blocklists and it still won't play anything. Is there anyway around this where I can still use Paramount Plus without having to disable NextDNS everytime I use it? I would love to have NextDNS running on my firetv but it has given me nothing but problems with my old firetv

I can't exactly say much due to the fact that Paramount isn't available where I am but If you can check the logs to see if anything is blocked for any other reason (other than Blocklists possibly by and try disabling Anonymized EDNS Client Subnet to see if that helps.

Hey I tried it out on my tablet with NextDNS enabled and when I go to play a video it just sits there and loads. I checked the logs for my tablet and the only things really being blocked are tracking from Google and a couple other things. I even added Paramount Plus to the Allowed List to let it work along with NextDNS and still nothing just sits there and loads

Tom D'Aprix hey there thank you for your response! I tried what you have, I removed all the blocklists I had an only put what you use on mine for my tablet that I mostly use paramount plus on but my shows still won't play. Just gives me an error. Any advice

if you've tried with no block list and you still have this issue, my guess it that it might be some other setting in your profile under security, privacy, parental control, etc. shut off all of the options and see what you get.

So, in my testing of this issue, because I too experienced the same frustration, I was able to isolate the problem (at least on my end) to Google specifically. I have a basic plan that includes ads. So, since by default these are blocked (at least in my NextDNS setup), the ads at the beginning of the shows could not load, therefore, the rest of the content wouldn't load either. Same for the Live content.

J. Caine Thank you very much for your reply! I added my tablet to my account and put the following addresses under Allowed like you said and Paramount worked without a hitch! I appreciate everyones feedback!

As an independent streaming service:
Australia, Austria, Canada,[a] France, German-speaking Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latin America, United Kingdom, and United States (except Puerto Rico)[1]

Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access until 2021) is an American subscription video on-demand over-the-top streaming service owned by Paramount Global. The service's content is drawn primarily from the libraries of CBS Media Ventures, CBS Studios, Paramount Media Networks (formerly Viacom Media Networks and ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks), and Paramount Pictures, while also including original series and films, live streaming sports coverage, and in the United States, live streaming of local CBS broadcast stations.

The service was launched in the United States in 2014, as CBS All Access, initially focusing on the live streaming of CBS programming from its local affiliates, as well as on-demand access to CBS programs and library content. The service began to expand into original programming in 2016, beginning with spin-offs of CBS programs such as Big Brother, The Good Fight, and the new Star Trek television series Star Trek: Discovery. Content from Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and other Viacom brands was subsequently included, and in 2021, the service wasrebranded as Paramount+, taking its name from the Paramount Pictures film studio and becoming a companion to other Paramount brands, mainly CBS, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Pictures. It expanded into Australia, Latin America, and Europe.[3][4][5]

CBS All Access was launched on October 28, 2014, priced at US$5.99 per month with advertising and $9.99 per month without.[6][7][8][9] Announced on October 16, 2014, as the first over-the-top (OTT) offering by an American broadcast television network, the service initially encompassed the network's existing streaming portal at CBS.com and its mobile app for smartphones and tablet computers; CBS All Access became available on Roku on April 7, 2015, and on Chromecast on May 14, 2015.[10][11] In addition to providing full-length episodes of past and present CBS programs, the service allows live programming streams of local CBS affiliates in 194 markets reaching 92% of the United States (including stations owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Hearst Television, Tegna Media, Nexstar Media Group, Meredith Corporation, Griffin Media, Gray Television, Weigel Broadcasting and Cox Media Group and the launch group of CBS Television Stations[12]), including SEC sports and the NFL; however due to the absence of streaming rights, a few sports events are not streamed on the service (mainly involving PGA Tour events, some locally programmed NFL preseason games, and select brokered shows through CBS Sports Spectacular), along with limited syndicated and paid programming where only a local broadcast license to carry the program is allowed and web airing rights are retained by the syndicator or infomercial producer.[13][14][15][16][17] By the very nature of its being live, streaming of a local affiliate does include all advertising, even with the commercial-free plan.

As of February 2017,[update] the service had nearly 1.5 million subscribers.[19] In August of the same year, CBS unveiled plans to expand CBS All Access to markets outside the United States. Canada was announced as the first international market to receive the service.[20] Plans to launch in Australia quickly followed, resulting from CBS's purchase of free-to-air broadcaster Network 10.[21]

In September 2017, Star Trek: Discovery premiered on CBS All Access, with its first episode also airing on the CBS broadcast network to promote the service. CBS reported that the premiere had driven its largest single-day increase in new subscribers since the Grammy Awards. Along with Star Trek, Big Brother 19 and the start of the 2017 NFL season had also driven major increases in growth that month.[22][23]

Buoyed by Star Trek: Discovery, CBS All Access reached over 2 million subscribers by early 2018. The 60th Annual Grammy Awards also provided a boost to sign-ups, marking the second largest day for new subscriptions after the Discovery premiere.[24] In April 2018, CBS All Access was made available outside the United States for the first time when it was launched in Canada.[25]

The service launched in Australia in December 2018 as 10 All Access. It operated alongside 10's free catch up and live streaming service 10 Play and contains a mixture of Network 10 and CBS programming. CBS shows are made available on All Access prior to being broadcast on 10's channels. 10 All Access is commercial-free and, unlike CBS All Access, has only one pricing tier.[26][27]
