All the driver names are identical. There's 3 "ready to use rows", 1 "Install Failed" row, and 4 "Not needed" rows. Earlier this week Driver & Support Assistant recommended upgrading the Realtek audio drivers to 6.0.9360.1 for my NUC10i5FNH. The install completed fine but now I have no audio output devices. Ive tried troubleshooting and reinstalling manually to no avail . It worked fine for the previous driver - I wonder if rolling back to the previous version might fix the problem but I cant see how to do this (see screenshot). Any suggestions?
The update of the Realtek Audio Driver goes in two steps. In the first step the currently installed driver is uninstalled and in the end, user is requested to restart the computer. After restart (it take about one minute after restart), the installation process restart automatically and again and the installation starts. Once the driver is installed, the user is requested again restart the computer. The all process takes quite long time. Since you don't see Realtek Audio Driver in the Device Manager and I believe that in Windows Settings > Apps > Installed application this drive is not existing neither. My conclusion is that you passed successfully only the first step of update (i.e. uninstalling) and the second part wasn't completed. So, please download the Realtek* High Definition Audio Driver and manually install it, this time going trough all process.
@almamun: I installed the 2.82 file. I had version 2.81. Version 2.81 had the audio manager. Version 2.82 DID NOT HAVE the audio manager. Could not find it on my computer, it had erased it. I had to do an Image restore for 2.81 and the audio manager to be back!

However after updating the volume is still soft. Can you advise what other drivers I can use or buy which can improve the audio?
You're not going to be able to create a driver installation package with the AppDeploy Repackager, this will only produce an MSI with the system changes (files & registry), but won't install the driver for you.
You'll then need dpinst.exe, or the associated merge module to perform the actual installation of the drivers via a custom action - there are plenty of posts on this site detailing how to use either method.

Since I could not download the file from Realtek site, I downloaded an earlier version of the driver i.e 2.79 instead of 2.82 from Cnet. I uninstalled the audio device with the previous drivers from device manager > Sound video game controller and installed the 2.79V driver. The audio is back, Whew!
I do not have an "Intel Smart Sound Technology" driver in my Device Manager but I do have a "Realtek High Definition Audio" device in its place, so that's the one I uninstalled/deleted. Still didn't fix the problem. When I go to the Sounds settings, everything looks like it should be playing audio, but nothing comes out of the laptop's speakers. The microphone works just fine, and if I try a video chat, the person I'm talking to can hear me...but I can't hear them of course because I have no audio.
Please let us know ASAP what we can do to fix this problem. Would doing a System Restore to before the Windows Update possibly fix this, at least temporarily? Or is there somewhere we can manually download and install an older version of the audio drivers? Thanks in advance!
I went into Device Manager, uninstalled/deleted all of the audio drivers there and then installed the one I had downloaded directly from Realtek. The installer made me reboot and once the laptop came back up, sound was working again. Voilà!
Tried the outlined steps but did not work. After choose to update from Windows update center, it reinstalled Real Tek Hi defination audio. Like David mentioned in this message, everything seems to be in working order but still no sound. I tried changing the device to Windows Hi defination audio and the audio was restored for some time but as soon as the sytem was restared the audio was lost again.
@Amol, try the last steps I outlined in my message - downloading the drivers directly from Realtek. I had previously tried downloading the audio drivers from HP's support page for the laptop and that didn't work. Downloading and installing the package directly from Realtek fixed it.
