For those of you that cannot afford a GPS watch (including myself),
and you want to know how far you went, there is another option. I
like to use http://www.mapmyrun.com. You can map out the exact course
that you ran, or want to run.

I have no invested interest in this website, or have anything against
GPS watches, but I do like to know exactly how far I went, and I don't
like to estimate.

I am not. I am no longer coaching at East. I do know however, that
each of the city schools do still need training shoes or spikes as
most do not have their own and the schools do not provide any shoes of
any kind.
