The Songwriters' Conversation is a series of intimate, in-depth interview/performances hosted by nationally known songwriter Peter Spencer. In these monthly events, well-known local and national songwriters will compare notes with Peter on the details and techniques of writing songs, with an emphasis on the craft involved in shaping a convincing, meaningful blend of melody and lyric. Join us for afternoons that will combine performances of top-flight original songwriting with in-depth conversation between two skilled musician-wordsmiths.
Next guest in the series will be Seattle songwriter Eric Miller, whose first full-length album "There is Nothing for You Here" has just been released. Eric's songs are melodic, retro (he plays rack-harmonica!) without being grumpy about it, with subtle lyrical twists that turn listeners' expectations on their heads on repeated listening.
