Hello everyone,
I received an e-mail from a non-profit organization board member named Teresa Serrano. She is looking for high school students willing to volunteer for her annual mariachi festival at Pearson Park in Anaheim. The event takes place on Saturday, October 12, 2013.
Here are the details:
There are 3 shifts available:
1. 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
2. 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
3. 4:00 to 9:30 p.m.
All volunteers will be given a lunch, snacks, and drinks. They will be given lanyards, and t-shirts to wear for the event as well for identification purposes.
Duties will vary according to their shift but will more or less include the following:
- Assist with collecting tickets from the Carl's Jr. truck for food orders
- Direct vendors to appropriate locations
- Ticketing
- Colleting entry tickets at the gates,
- Serve as ushers
- Issuing bracelets and helping pick up
All interested students and adult volunteers must fill out the appropriate forms and turn them in. There will be a volunteer information meeting very soon to go over assignments and expectations. All interested students, please send them to the Career Center for more information and sign the interest list. I will forward this information to Ms. Serrano.
