Hello,

When I use ace-jump-mode to jump to a word, it takes approximately 1 sec between entering the head char and highlighting matches while this is nearly instantaneous when I turn ergoemacs-mode off. Any tips how to fix or troubleshoot this?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards, Jakub Holy

This is because ergoemacs-mode tries to look up any keys per mode and save it into the keymap.  In the case of ace-jump-mode, the keymap is generated on the fly and then ergoemacs looks up and changes the keymap on the fly.  This should be sped up.

I have created an issue here:

It also has an advice on how to get around it for now.

I'm working on a different method that will install ergoemacs-mode shortcuts when keymaps are loaded, instead of while running.  It should speed up many things.  However, I also don't have too much time right now.
