
Call for Abstracts
Emerging Health Policy Research Conference

The Menzies Centre for Health Policy invites you to join us for the 5th annual Emerging Health Policy Research Conference.
The conference will showcase the work in progress of current doctoral and early career research workers, as well as those new to the field of health policy research. We invite research workers from all areas of health policy - including international health, health systems, history of public health, indigenous health, health economics, health promotion and sociology - to submit an abstract of their presentation.
Participation in the Emerging Health Policy Research Conference will provide an opportunity to:
• discuss health policy responses to current local, national and global health challenges;
• present in progress health policy research to a wide audience of students, academics and practitioners;
• discuss new ideas and identify opportunities for collaboration across disciplinary boundaries.
Previous conferences have attracted people from a wide variety of backgrounds including industry, government, academic institutions and NGOs. More information on previous conferences is available at http://www.menzieshealthpolicy.edu.au/events_past.php

Instructions for Abstract Submission
· Abstract Format: Do not use any tables, charts, graphs or references in your abstract. All abstracts should be submitted using the template available on the Centre’s website: http://www.menzieshealthpolicy.edu.au/events_upcoming.php#ehpr2010 A copy of the template is also available by emailing mc...@sydney.edu.au
· Submission: Submit your abstract by Monday, 21 June to mc...@sydney.edu.au
· Acceptance: You will be advised of acceptance or non-acceptance by Friday, 25 June.
· Presentation Format: It is anticipated presentations will be allocated 20 minutes, including 5 minutes question time.
· Registration: All presenters will be automatically registered for the conference. There will be no fee for presenters.
· Publication: All accepted abstracts will be reproduced on the Centre’s website.
