Hi Koustubh, Thanks for sharing a link. I am still facing issue with curl and wget utilities (Linux). Everything works fine with postman restclient tool (Windows). I am not sure whether its any header constraints at DevTest server.

Curl's developers estimate it's used in over twenty billion instances. And now there's a potentially nasty security bug in it, CVE-2023-38545.

Organizations must act swiftly to inventory, scan, and update all systems utilizing curl and libcurl. In particular, the gravity of the high-severity vulnerability mandates immediate and cautious attention to safeguarding interconnected and web-aware applications, ensuring the rich data transfer functionality curl and libcurl provide remain unimpaired and secure.

Not everyone thinks it's that big a deal. From the requests, we can clearly see that Elasticsearch replies when accessed over http. That means that TLS is not enabled. Well, because it was midnight and I needed a break so I definitely didn't see that so apologies for that. I had definitely assumed that the curl command in the instructions would just point to where the .crt file was dropped and the lazy copy/paste approach would just work.

As a potentially related aside, when trying to enroll and start the elastic agent on another host to check in with the fleet server, I'm currently stuck in a loop of "Remote server is not ready to accept connections, will retry in a moment" loop upon running the

command. running a curl on the IP prints "Connection refused," and decoding that token doesn't seem to provide anything useful.

I often suggest to people here to provide as much detail as possible, when asking questions. This helps readers (like me) understand clearly what the person is asking about. And the curl command might be exactly the command the person has run in their own terminal session, and it's helpful for people here on community to know the exact command. But not credentials!

Be aware that if you use curl -v, your terminal session will show headers including the authorization header, which means your credentials. Be careful showing any output of curl -v in email or community posts or screenshares!
