Hi Sachin!

(added the discussion list as well)

Can you verify that the proxy connection details are correct and being used?
Can you also try saving the connection details after setting the proxy
config and then trying to validate?

Thanks,

Robert

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll have to set up my own tests then,
maybe we're doing something wrong when connecting via proxies.

Proxy settings work for me, I'll share the steps I've taken below:

1. Installed Charles Proxy [1], configured to start on port 8888
2. Configured Eclipse to use HTTP proxy localhost:8888 for all hosts (
including localhost )
3. Opened repository settings
4a. Verification
- ensured that the Proxy Server Configuration section has 'Use global
Network Connections preferences' enabled
- pressed 'Validate Settings'
- validated that Charles has captured 3 HTTP requests to the repository
4b. Verification
- ensured that the Proxy Server Configuration section has 'Use global
Network Connections preferences' disabled
- entered localhost for the proxy host address
- entered 8888 for the proxy host port
- ensured that 'Enabled proxy server authentication' is disabled
- pressed 'Validate Settings'
- validated that Charles has captured 3 HTTP requests to the repository

So in my tests proxies work as expected. Can you somehow capture the
network traffic which happens between you and the proxy? Can you
confirm whether the traffic reaches the proxy? Something like
wireshark [2]could help.

HTH,

Robert

Hi Sachin,

I'm sorry, but I'm not available for calls.

I tried to walk through the feature to make sure we're not doing
something wrong in the connector. The proxy settings are contributed
by the Mylyn framework. My suggestion is that you ask support from the
Mylyn project [1], since in my opinion there is nothing wrong with the
ereviewboard code.

Feel free to point them to this discussion, it contains enough context
for them to understand what is going on.

Cheers,

Robert
