Justjoined the forum after getting my first EE SIM. I have a Huawei E5576-320 mobile router which I use in my caravan successfully on O2. I changed to an EE SIM as it seemed to be a good deal cheaper. Try as I may I cannot get this to work. Can someoene advise if it should work and some pointers at where i'm going wrong. The SIM packet says to activate the SIM send an email to
sup...@speakeasytelecom.com with mobile number and Amazon order number from SIM purchase. Keep getting a bounce back saying email address does not exist.
Update on my problem: After leaving a message to the seller via my Amazon account I had a few emails including some emails from SP Telecom (
sup...@speakeasytelecom.com ) to say they are sorry for any inconvenience and they would activate my sim. They asked if I was able to configure my APN settings if required to which I replied yes. I then received a final email stating my sim had been activated. I popped the sim into the Huawei mobile router powered it up and reset my personal laptop to use the the mobile router and all was working after a couple of mins. Good speed & good continuity of connection. Sorted!
I also checked my work laptop comms via the mobile router and all is good to WFH should my BT router drop. This happens frequently leaving me without wifi even though I have a hybrid system with a backup EE device which is supposed to kick in and keep the wifi going via 4G. However thats another story but if anyone is interested let me know.
Unfortunately I have no unlocked or EE phone to try it out. I spoke with EE Tech support earlier today and mentioned that the SIM instruction info stated to activate I needed to send an email to
sup...@speakeasytelecom.com and that my email kept bouncing back with info that the email address was not available. They said to inform Amazon of this and arrange a return / refund as there is something wrong with the SIM as it should work in my Huawei mobile router without issue. Am really gutted after seeing this item had such good reviews. I have run O2 SIMS previously in the router without any issues.
I have a Samsung TV model UE60H6200AK and my mobile phone is a Huawei Mate 10 Pro. The mobile has a screen projection feature which I use to mirror to various TV's. I have no problem whatsoever doing this except with my Samsung. Initially the app found my TV and I had an onscreen message on the TV to accept connection. My mobile screen then appeared but I realised that my wifi connection on my mobile had been automatically switched off which does not happen any other time. When I retried my mobile scanned for devices and found my TV. I pressed connect and had this messsage : "Your wifi connection will temporarily disconnect whilst you are connected to your TV "Accept/Decline". I press 'accept' and after a while it says "Connection failed 'Retry/Cancel'. The only way I can then reconnect my mobile is to go into the Screen Mirroring menu and select devices. This shows my Huawei Mobile and I select it and choose 'delete'. Then I retry screen projection and once again I get the TV asking for permission to connect and then my mobile sceen appears but my wifi has been turned off. The infuriating thing is that the mobile app works with all other TV's except my Samsung. Is there something in the TV settings I need to change ?. I am beginning to suspect it is simply a conflict between the two brands and although I can 'project' my mobile screen to the TV I have to sacrifice my wifi connection while doing so. I am baffled. If anyone else has encountered such a problem and solved it then please advise me. Many thanks for reading. P.S. I am 100% certain that my mobile and TV are connected to the same wifi network
