Shaunepitomized selflessness, always willing to give the shirt off his back to help others without seeking recognition. He was a fierce protector of his family, always standing up for us and ensuring our safety and happiness. His loss has left a void in our lives that can never be filled by another.

He is survived by his two beautiful daughters Amber McIlhargey and Peyton McIlhargey, who meant the world to him. They have always been the light in his life and he was so very proud to have the superhero title of "Dad". He was a devoted father, who showered his girls with love and affection. He leaves behind his mother Kathy (Kat) Talbert, whose heart aches with the loss of her first true love. Her pain is immeasurable, a testament to the profound bond they shared. Further survived by his father, Drew Talbert, sister, Kristen Liebengood, brother-in-law, Kirk, niece, Autumn, nephew, Logan, his cousin, Regan Spencer, his best friend, Bryan Knights and a multitude of other very close friends. He was preceded in death by his dear grandparents, Richard and Tommie McIlhargey; and his uncle, Timothy "Jimbo" Vukas McIlhargey. Shaun's love for his family and friends knew no bounds. If you learned one thing about Shaun, it was that family (including his close friends) meant everything.

In this difficult time of mourning, we are reaching out to his community for support. The sudden loss of Shaun has left the family with unexpected expenses, including funeral costs and arrangements for his daughters' future. In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made to Shaun's memorial fund;

Shaun was a hunting, fishing, active, life-loving, 16-year-old machinist when he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2015. We just returned home from vacation and took Shaun to the doctor because he was not feeling well. That was the beginning of his nightmare that would last until June 3, 2018, the day he passed away.

Shaun went through four intense rounds of chemotherapy that kept him in the hospital from July until December of 2015. Throughout his chemo he was ill and never felt very good, but always had a smile on his face and chose to be polite and kind to his nurses, doctors, and his family. All was going well after he was in remission until a check-up in May of 2016. Shaun had relapsed. To say we were all devastated is an understatement.

In August of 2016, Shaun received his first bone marrow transplant. We were thrilled that an anonymous donor stepped up to give Shaun a chance at life by donating her marrow. It was a difficult and trying time for about six months. There was illness, nausea, weight loss, and countless other things he had to deal with, but never let it get him down.

15 months later, two days before Shaun turned 19, he relapsed again in February of 2018. We never gave up. We had to stay positive for him. Shaun underwent two more rounds of intense chemo. At the end of May he underwent a second bone marrow transplant, but passed away nine days later.

Shaun never complained. Never got upset. Never asked why him. He kept up college studies from the hospital after relapsing and four days before passing away ordered his college textbooks for the summer semester. He is a true inspiration to us. We don't know how we are able to live without him, but we do. Shaun is missed every second of every day.

Thank you to everyone who donates blood, platelets, and plasma! Please consider saving a life by signing up to become a bone marrow donor at bethematch.org. Thank you, Dance Marathon, and ALL the volunteers who have helped our family during Shaun's battle and continue to support us."

Shaun Alan Sitton, 53, joined his parents in heaven on October 23, 2023. Shaun was born May 30, 1970, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was the adopted son of Gary and Bonnie (Bobbie) Sitton. They became a true family five days after his birth. He was the answer to the many prayers for a child after the loss of their newborn. He was the light of their lives and a delight to their families and friends. As Christians themselves, Gary and Bobbie raised Shaun by regularly attending church services where he became a Christian at Nalls Memorial Baptist Church in West Little Rock.

Shaun had several hobbies but his favorite one was music. He learned to play the guitar at a young age. He became a very good guitarist and enjoyed playing with and for friends who admired and were delighted by his musical abilities.

Sadly, Shaun was involved in a tragic wreck on May 10, 1992, leaving him in a comatose state for the next 31 plus years. He lived in the Benton Service Center in Haskell. His last few months were lived in Baptist Hospice in Little Rock.

Back in 2004, Sean saw the TV show SuperNanny ...and was inspired! He said to his wife Danielle, "I would love to do that...help parents and teens...I should become the Teen SuperNanny!" Years later, that crazy idea became a reality.

Sean has mentored young people who have become Hollywood TV and film stars, YouTube stars, CEOs, TV and news personalities, reality television stars, business entrepreneurs, and college athletes.

More importantly, Sean has helped thousands of young men and women become mature, kind, responsible, successful adults; many of whom have now become happy, healthy parents themselves.

Sean Donohue graduated from UC San Diego and has a Masters degree from Golden Gate.

Sean enjoys sports, fishing, backpacking, concerts and connecting with his many followers on social media.

Sean is a really good listener and is compassionate about understanding what teenagers are going through. He is very relational and has shown me how to communicate with my peers in a healthy way. I have benefited from his guidance and leadership.

When I was a single mother struggling to raise a teenage daughter, Sean provided an essential positive male role model in our lives. I always breathed a sigh of relief when my daughter was on an activity with Sean, because I knew that she was safe emotionally and physically. I was confident that Sean was guiding her down a path towards healthy life choices and away from destructive influences. Today my daughter is a college educated, happily married, mother of two, and Sean and his family remain a part of our family. Thank you, Sean!

Throughout high school Sean has helped me navigate many tough situations such as drinking, friends, guys, self-esteem, and my studies. Like many teenagers, I have struggled with my relationship with my father. Sean helped by talking to us individually and gave us both great tools for communication that made it much easier for us to get along with each other. I am so thankful for all of the wisdom he has shared with me.

Throughout my high school years, Sean was, and still is, a constant friend and mentor, steering me away from murky waters and leading me in the way of honor, wisdom and maturity. As I continue to grow into a man, I will never forget his wisdom and never stop trying to emulate the example he has set for me.

Shaun Michael Parmelee Sr., 51, died unexpectedly on March 11th after suffering a stroke. He was born on July 28, 1971, in Hartford, CT. He grew up in Middletown, CT with a love of building and constructing - whether it was with Lego bricks or pieces of wood - that made his career as an electrician inevitable. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 35 and was employed by McPhee Electric for 28 years where he was a mentor to many and a friend to all. Shaun always made a lasting impression with his dry wit, easy laugh, and mischievous smile.

He was an accomplished athlete and an avid sports fan. He excelled at varsity soccer during his years at Xavier High School, Middletown CT. From an early age he loved dirt bikes. Whether that was fixing or riding them, which ultimately led to his love for motocross. He raced competitively for years, regularly placing in the top three in his age group at events throughout New England. As an avid sports fan, motocross, the NFL and soccer were at the top of his list.
