I am the developer of this live wallpaper that was just released and I would like to ask for feedback. Does the wallpaper run ok on your device? Is there anything you would like to see added/changed etc?

The negative side of using Unity is that it is somewhat heavy - it's expected to have an APK of around 9 MB in size for an empty scene. This doesn't really matters if you have a resource-heavy live wallpaper, though.

I've recently released uLiveWallpaper - a Unity asset that makes it possible to create live wallpapers for Android using Unity 5. It is well-tested and reliable, creates projects for Android Studio, complete with placeholder code to get you started.

Install: (Free, in-app purchases)3. Automs HDAnother unique and beautiful live wallpaper app is called Automs HD which brings a highly complex, kinetic, and interactive visualizer which looks absolutely beautiful. There are basically thousands of colorful particles swirling around in the wallpaper which behave differently depending on whether you are swiping, holding, or just tapping on the screen. Depending on your interaction, at times you will see fireworks, whirlwinds, and fireflies among other things. This is one of the few wallpaper apps that I have paid for from my own pockets so you know its good.Install: ($3.99)

Install: ($2.49)6. Forest Live WallpaperIf you are not a fan of swamp water organisms, how about a forest? The Forest Live Wallpaper is a popular live wallpaper on Play Store. The app gives you access to relaxing wallpapers with trees blowing in the wind and a sky that changes from dusk till dawn. If you love a minimalist approach, then this is the wallpaper app for you.Install: (Free)7. Paperland Live WallpaperAnother minimalistic live wallpaper app that I love is the Paperland Live Wallpaper. The app brings a fantastic paper cut-out landscape that keeps scrolling on your screen. There are different themes that you can choose from including silent night, grassy, desert migration, and more. You can also customize the colors and objects inside a wallpaper theme. I really love this wallpaper app and recommend that you at least try it once.

Install: ($1.99)11. Parallax 3D Live WallpapersThis one is for all the Parallax wallpapers fans out there. The
Parallax 3D Live Wallpapers app is one of the best if not the best 3D live wallpaper apps featuring 3D backgrounds. There are many categories of wallpapers that you can choose from, including superheroes, anime, abstract, animals, space, planets, nature, fantasy, and more. One of the best things about this app is that more and more wallpapers are submitted on a weekly basis so you will never run out of new wallpapers.Install: (Free, in-app purchases)12. A Liquid CloudA Liquid Cloud is a simple and soothing wallpaper app which basically shows you clouds shifting and moving around in winds. You can select from different themes which basically change the color of the clouds. You can also change the wind direction, wind speed, cloud fluffiness, and more. That said, most of its features are hidden behind a paywall so keep that in mind before you install this app.

This live wallpaper is not for everyone and I surprisingly like it a lot. The app basically gives you a wallpaper consisting of solid color background which acts as a world for tiny microscopic organisms. These microscopic organisms move on their own accord which looks cool. Basically, you will have a living, microscopic world right in your phone. The only customization control you get is the ability to change the background color. As I said, this is not for everyone but I love it and I know some of you will find it interesting too.Install: (Free)15. ZENTALED Live WallpaperThe last wallpaper app on our list is a bit unique. The app uses a combination of moving pixels to show different shapes and faces. The shapes change automatically and randomly which looks really cool. I also love that it has a bit of interactive element to eat as the pixels reach to your touch on the display. This is also great for AMOLED phones as most of the wallpaper is black as you can see in the picture below.

I have an Iphone 11 Pro running the latest iOS 15.4. Live wallpapers do not work in the lock screen. Haptic touch is active, low battery mode is off, reduced motion is off. I tried everything. I tried Apple's stock live wallpapers, i've tried my own, nothing worked. In the live wallpaper review it works fine, but when i lock my screen and try it, it didn't move when i touch. However where it does work is on the screen when you swipe down from the top (not the control center), where you can see notifications, but that's after unlocking the screen. How do i get around this? I want to be able to have it move when the screen is locked which im sure is what it's supposed to be able to do.

If anyone saw our hands-on with the Pixel 2 XL at Google's October 4th event, you may have noticed the phones are rocking some intriguing new live wallpapers. They are obviously intended to be Pixel 2 exclusives, but if there's one thing that you can rely on in the Android developer community, it's that someone out there will be on hand to mod an interesting new app and get it working on more devices.

The new Pixel 2 launcher thankfully works on other phones without modification, although if you want the swipe-for-Google-Feed functionality on phones other than the first generation Pixels and Nexus devices, you'll need to install it as a system app. The new Pixel 2 live wallpapers are a bit different, and they have so far crashed for anyone who tried to sideload the app. Luckily, someone has been willing do a little work to get them on other phones.

There are a number of different options, including aerial views with subtle movements, bright abstract shapes that move with your phone, gooey liquids that change with each touch, and stunning live space images. There's also a wallpaper that displays live wind patterns based on your location, which may not sound exciting but actually looks rather pretty.
