A few years ago, I held a party at a little Mexican place called El Jacalito on Royal York road.
It was far away in a part of remote Toronto that none of us were familiar with and very few of us had ever been to.
Between the little dancing girls with tea lights balanced on their heads, live mexican music and the machete dancing fellows, we had a blast.
It was between Christmas and New Year's and all our friends celebrated.
As promised, it felt like we'd all gone on a trip somewhere wonderful for a short visit, but we were able to take our favourite friends along.
Ever wish you could take all the people you care about on vacation?
With this in mind, I am hosting a party at the Lula.
There is an amazing spread of brunch food, with dancing and laughter guaranteed.
It will be a great opportunity to see everyone and celebrate the solstice or the season or just having a chance to kiss people you genuinely like but want to see someplace other than facebook.
Please dress inappropriately.
I negotiated an awesome deal from one of my favourite places in the city.
There are a limited number of tickets reserved at this price because they need to know how much food to prepare.
I love the band and the salsa dance lesson instructor, Miko.
It will be the no-stress, fun break we all need (especially at that time of year).
Spend the day the Havana!

Adorable Shawn Venasse is having a fabulous seasonal open house party at his place later the same day (155 Delaware Ave) so that the extreme fun and merriment can continue over there.

with love,
Erella
