I haven’t written anything to you in a while.
Today, I posted this to Facebook and thought to send it to you as well.
I haven't been well enough to work at a job for years.
Being offered full time work for Elections Canada, (for a couple months total, until the election is over) seemed like a good idea. Taking this on as a challenge/experiment, I am learning
lessons about patience and pacing that surprise me constantly. I give half of the money I earn (and really need) back to the government because they pay the disability pension that (barely)
pays my bills. It isn't about the money.
I just worked four very long days for the advance poll. It is a mark of the progress I am making. I was a dizzy zombie at moments during every day but managed to delegate and take
breaks when necessary. I am feeling extremely proud --and grateful for the kind, helpful people I was working with.
This week I have a full roster of classes I am teaching for Elections staff and regular work, while managing my medical appointments and all and I am glad to report, that I am soaring here.
No question, not having adrenaline at a time like this makes me wonder about the decision to have the adrenal glands removed sometimes -but not really.
I am doing it. One more week of this crazy pace. I am feeling kind of elated this morning. Proud too.
Much love to you,
Thank you for being there.
