It has been a very long time since I have sent a note out.

Things are moving along but slowly.

I guess that it took me longer to process or mourn the death of my mother than I had expected.

I think I maybe mourned my dream of getting my book published at the same time. It was a combination of things that made me change things up.

Now spring has sprung.

I am back on my feet.

Walking was difficult and painful after my knee surgery.

I didn't expect it to be worse after procedure.

I discussed with the surgeon. I wondered whether the pain I was feeling was the sort where I better stop what I am doing; is it my body's way of communicating with me?

Or is it the kind of pain that you work through, that lessens the more you do it.

Now, I ride my bike again.

I am walking and drawing and it seems like everything is fun again.

My birthday is Friday June 7

I will be turning 54 and so I am having a Studio 54 themed party.

It will be fantastic fun, providing the weather smiles on us.

If you are my friend and near us in toronto, Please join us. We'd love to see you. It looks like it will be the biggest collection of people we love all in one place.

What a magical gift that is.

My friend Shawn has sweetly offered up his home for the festivities once again. He's a man that fun spontaneously follows.

I just bought a professional bubble machine on ebay for the event.

I will send you images of my new project very soon.

I have a new book idea that I have been making some drawings for. Working title is Now What?

This would be the first book you get when you've been diagnosed with something scary.

It is useful info about how to deal with it all in a constructive way, keeping sanity and humour at the same time.

I will ask for your opinion.
