my name is Giulio Verazzo from the Institute
of Polar Sciences of National Research
Council of Italy (ISP-CNR).
During the last two years I've worked, with
my colleague Alice Cavaliere (also from the
Institute), to a software called ERDDAP-CMS.
ERDDAP-CMS is a web-based Python application
that aims to simplify the usage and
management of datasets on ERDDAP. The main
features are:
- Upload of new datasets from CSV, netCDF
or other ERDDAP instances
- Metadata editor with Form and XML view
- Metadata keywords from CF-convention Standard Names table
- One-click dataset validation and
publication (using DasDds)
- ORCID and GitHub OAuth login compatible
- ISO 19139 (gmd: prefix) metadata export
fully compatibile with GeoNetwork Opensource
- Management of user permissions on
dataset
- Management of datasets files
Our goal isn't to replace any of
the ERDDAP tools, but rather to enhance and simplify the
interaction with them.
A demo of the software has been showed by
Marco Alba from ETT Solutions (who is
partnering
with us for a european project using
ERDDAP) at the latest ERDDAP technical board
on July 30, 2025.
The software is released under GPLv3 and available here:

Best regards,
Giulio Verazzo, Alice Cavaliere
