Hi all,

A quick question: I wander if a "too many request" (429-error) counts as a entry in the "unusal activity: >25%"- mail.
Or in other words: If a user does too many requests - will it trigger the "unusal activity: >25%" mail?

Thanks,
Fred.

429 errors are handled separately and don't trigger the unusual activity email.

Hi all,

Thanks Chris - do you know a way how to disable that mail.

It looks like the 25% is hard coded:
https://github.com/ERDDAP/erddap/blob/main/WEB-INF/classes/gov/noaa/pfel/erddap/LoadDatasets.java#L1253

It'd be great to have the option to tweak that percentage or turn off those emails. Whenever there's a client or bot messing up requests, we end up flooded with those emails.

Best regards,
Fred.

There is not currently a way to disable that mail.

I've created an issue on the GitHub to support that: https://github.com/ERDDAP/erddap/issues/139
