You're also able to subset an image by creating an inquire box. Click the right mouse button on the image and select "inquire box".Afterwards select the raster menu in the menu bar and open the ribbon called "Subset & Chip", there you click on "Create Subset Image" and define in- and output file with the additional setting "From Inquire Box".

Dear Jarlath, many thanks for your replies. Please could you give us more details and some examples about the points you have mentioned. In fact I couldn’t find the tools you have wrote about it. By the way I am using ERDAS ver 9.2. Kind regards.
