You could save the output of the ndvi to a 4 or 8 byte real and then run the classification on this

Dear Carl, thanks a lot for your concern. Unfortunately it doesn’t work using ERMapper when the image type is 4 or 8 byte real. Could you give more details please. I don’t know why I could classify an image with 4 or 8 byte real by ERMapper. I am really confused.

Dear Carl, many thanks for your replies. I think I have to change the default values those in options of Unsupervised classification window in order to go on the classification task. So, kindly could you tell me the values recommended to type in the options fields in that window in order to classify the NDVI image (with real values from -1 to 0.8). Thanks a lot in advance.
