Regarding overlay image with shapefile
By sureshbabu in ERDAS Software Forum

I write a model and run the model. output image ( fire danger index image) is generated. Now, i want to overlay with this image to fire locations data (shape file format). I reprojected the image and shape file. Please any one tell me about how to overlay the image and shape file in ERDAS imagine.

Just open both in one viewer. If projections are equal or known in Imagine they should open in top of each other without any problems. So File - Open - Vector layer in new Imagine when raster is already open there.

Thank you very much sir. I tried it. but the image will be displayed at the bottom, shape file at the top. the projections are same. I am using the MODIS albedo, LST. Please give suggestion to rectify my problem.

Then there is something wrong with the data coordinates. Either coordinate values are wrong or projections do not match truly in Imagine perspective. What Metadata says in both layers in Imagine. Are projections and coordinate values equal if you open them in separate viewers?
