Withthe release of Revo Uninstaller Pro 5, we introduce the functionality to uninstall programs and apps for standard (non-admin) users, as well as the option to scan for leftovers for all available accounts (administrator or user) on the computer.

Forced Uninstall relies on the same proven scanning algorithm in Revo Uninstaller Pro, ensuring a thorough scan while maintaining a high accuracy. It also works in conjunction with our Logs Database in an attempt to achieve the best possible results for removal.

Quick Uninstall will create one Registry backup and System Restore Point for the entire queue of programs, then proceed to uninstall each program by running its built-in uninstaller followed by an automatic leftover scan and removal. Revo Uninstaller Pro will attempt to run built-in uninstallers silently to speed up the process and allow for as little user involvement as possible.

The Real-Time Installation Monitor tracks changes made to your system during the installation of a program, and records all that data to a so-called "trace log". It can be used later when uninstalling that program enabling Revo Uninstaller Pro to be potentially both more precise and more thorough during the program removal, deleting obscure leftovers that may have otherwise been missed by a traditional leftover scan.

Windows Apps, being an integral part of the most recent versions of Windows, can also be removed by Revo Uninstaller Pro. All apps (the ones that come pre-installed with Windows and any that are installed later by the user) are listed separately from regulars, in their own module, allowing for better organization.

In Revo Uninstaller Pro 5, the Windows Apps module has received a few important improvements. Users can now uninstall multiple apps in succession (using the Quick Uninstall feature remove an app for all users, and reset apps to their default state, which can be used as a troubleshooting step.

The Traced Programs module not only lists all created trace logs, but allows additional options as well. Users can perform a complete removal using an existing trace log, or they can use the available Custom Uninstall option, which allows AN INDIVIDUAL selection of the files, folders, and Registry entries to be removed.

While Revo Uninstaller Pro's leftover scanning algorithm is designed to be as robust as possible and is being improved constantly, nothing is perfect. Security and reliability are also high on our priorities list, which is why Revo Uninstaller Pro employs a multi-level backup system to ensure our users' peace of mind.

At the beginning of every uninstallation, Revo Uninstaller Pro attempts to create a Restore Point using Windows' own System Restore feature and also creates a backup of the entire Windows Registry.

Last, but not least, leftovers are deleted in a way that allows an easy restoration if necessary: files and folders are deleted to the Recycle Bin, whereas Registry entries are automatically backed up by Revo Uninstaller Pro's own Backup Manager.

Patricia, since nobody smarter is here, let me try to help. Can I assume you are Windows 10 since that's the area you posted in? Usually, updates go pretty seamlessly. Since you are having problems, let's walk through it step by step. Here's what I would do if it were me.

Go ahead and try Evernote. Working properly? Terrific. Not working properly? Sign out again, download and install a copy of Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and use it to completely uninstall Evernote. (The usual windows uninstaller isn't good enough. People with problems have much better success uninstalling with Revo.

Reinstall as above. Everything will likely be working. Since you did a complete uninstall, Evernote will create a new copy of your data on your local drive. This will take a while. You can use Evernote while this is happening - Evernote will pull down notes that you ask for right away, but everything may be a bit slower until it's done.

Thank you for replying. I did as you suggested and "signed out" and "kept backups" then downloaded update and it still did not work. I am afraid to reinstall until computer lady is available. if I 'remove data" will I lose my data? I have windows 11 and professional evernote

"The most common reason to not see some programs in the list of installed programs of Revo Uninstaller Free is if you are using a 64-bit Windows version and the missing programs are installed as native 64-bit programs.

The reason is that Revo Uninstaller Free doesn't fully support 64-bit systems yet. Revo Uninstaller Pro supports 64-bit versions of Windows and it has 30-day fully functional trial."

Which leads me to the question I want to ask. I am running Windows 10 - does CCleaner (both free and Pro versions) install themselves as "native 64-bit programs" when downloaded on a Win 10 computer? I have seen a reference on the Piriform website somewhere to CCleaner being available in both 32 and 64-bit versions, but did not find an answer to my specific question.

I'm trying to decide whether to go to paid versions of both CCleaner and Revo, but want to know as much as I can re how these two will interact (incidentally, I don't plan to use the registry cleaner).

Ccleaner (et al) indeed install as native 64bit (as I understand the statement to mean installed in "program files" folder as opposed to "program files x86" folder) on a 64bit machine. If the machine is 32 bit the 32bit version is of course installed. It reallllllllllllllllly suprises me that revo doesn't fully support 64bit, that's just plain stupid on their part in 2016

Revo Uninstaller Free is however old, it was last updated July 2013 - source. Perhaps the free version is now abandonware, certainly seems that way and it makes it evident the Pro version is required in order to get the newest versions.

It isn't dead, it just seems as though they've abandoned the freeware version while still maintaining and updating the paid Pro version which was last updated December 2015. It's not unusual at all, many freeware titles have followed that route.

Although I have that seemly last freeware version installed it doesn't bother me personally that they've did this as I'm rarely if ever uninstalling software (also rarely if ever installing any either) to even require it.

Just read this article and wanted to update it. Revo Uninstaller Free is definitely still alive and being updated. No, it does seem like between 2013 and 2016 there weren't any updates, but there have been quite a few since. The latest being: MARCH 26, 2018 REVO UNINSTALLER FREEWARE VERSION 2.0.5
