Like many, I assume, I use my iPad to screen mirror a zoom class to my Apple TV. However, I no longer have this capability. I have Roku premiere 3920 and I can no longer do screen mirroring with my iPhone. Both devices are on same network, yet Roku no longer pops up as recognized device on phone, and I am not able to set up that airplay homekit feature on the Roku. That option simply does not respond. Not sure if it has anything to do with the upgrade to iOS 15. Thoughts?
The issue is stated clearly in the article. It would do no good for me to restate it or for anyone to offer standard troubleshooting replies. This is a problem that the Roku update caused and only the people at Roku can fix.
I also have problems getting Airplay/screen mirroring to work.
I received my PPM in June, and Airplay/screen mirroring worked fine at first, but since latest SW upgrade the PPM does not even show up in the airplay-lists on either my iPhone11 or in my MacbookPro.
Just to add that screen mirroring works fine with my lower model iPhones and screen mirroring on my iPhone 11 works fine with other devices! So I guess this is an issue that perhaps PPM does not support newer versions of iPhone?
There can be a myriad of reasons for iPhone screen mirroring not working. The good news is you can fix it without even rooting your device. Read on and find out how to get rid of the problems of screen mirroring not working on iOS devices.
One of the main causes of screen mirroring not working is when both your devices are not connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This technology works only when the smartphone and the TV screen have the same internet server.
To mirror your iPhone screen on a smart TV, it's essential to ensure that your TV supports the screen mirroring feature. If you encounter the issue of "screen mirroring not working on iPhone", the first step is to verify if your TV is compatible with iPhone screen mirroring. If it's not compatible, you'll need to use a different TV that supports this feature.
If you're facing the "screen mirroring not working on iPhone" problem, it could be related to the privacy settings on your device. To address this issue, consider disabling the Screen Time feature, which monitors your phone's activities and can restrict screen sharing.
Another potential solution to resolve the "screen mirroring not working" issue is to disable Bluetooth. You can do this by swiping down from the top of your iPhone screen, pressing and holding the Bluetooth icon, and then turning off the Bluetooth toggle in the Bluetooth Settings screen. After disabling Bluetooth, check if the problem is resolved. If not, you can try toggling Bluetooth on and off a few times to see if it helps.
To begin troubleshooting, it's essential to confirm that your TV's input source is correctly set to screen mirroring. If the input source is currently set to something else, such as an HDMI input, it can cause difficulties when attempting to mirror your phone's screen onto your TV.
Many screen mirroring services typically support the use of one device at a time. To ensure successful mirroring, confirm that you're only attempting to connect one device to your TV simultaneously. If your TV detects multiple devices trying to connect simultaneously, it might reject the connection, preventing you from establishing a successful link.

Screen mirroring Netflix may not work due to content protection (DRM), HDCP, and app limitations. Netflix employs DRM to prevent piracy, which can detect and inhibit screen mirroring. HDCP is used to safeguard content and can hinder playback on displays lacking HDCP support.

To ensure reliable Netflix streaming, consider using supported devices like streaming media players or smart TVs equipped with Netflix apps, designed to handle content protection requirements.

While bluetooth is a popular method for wireless connectivity, it is not used for screen mirroring. Instead, screen mirroring typically uses either WiFi or a wired connection. WiFi connections are typically faster and way more reliable than bluetooth, making them the preferred option for most users.
First of all, the way screen mirroring works is it can only pair devices connected to the same wireless network. For example, in an AirBeamTV app, you can only see Smart TVs connected to the same WiFi your Mac or iPhone is using. A hacker would have to use it as well, which means they would have to sit outside your window, tapping away at their computer, trying to get in on your movie night. Maybe easier to just ask for an invitation next time?
AirPlay mirrors the device screen with a very low latency. This is great if latency is important for you. E.g. if you are doing something interactive, such as gaming. However, it can also turn out to be a problem, especially if you are watching a movie. Due to the low latency, you are likely to experience many video interruptions with AirPlay. Especially if your Wi-Fi network is not very strong.
One of the common WiFi problems is poor signal. Prevent this by using a WiFi repeater. In our opinion, this WiFi extender Booster from NetFun is currently the best choice out there. When we first tested this device, we immediately experienced a faster internet connection, which accelerated our daily work.
AirBeamTV apps are playing the video stream with a higher latency, which allows to absorb many network issues, and keep playing the video smoothly. This often provides a better movie watching experience than AirPlay screen mirroring.

Typically, a minimal amount of latency can be experienced, which might affect real-time applications such as gaming or live presentations. However, advancements in technology have led to significant improvements. It is generally found that for most content viewing, such as movies or slideshows, the latency is barely noticeable. Users interested in gaming or using real-time interactive apps should check the specifications and performance capabilities of their mirroring solution to ensure it meets their needs.
