OhThis gets me excited!! My hair is very similar, fine/wavy/frizzy and lots of it. Also will find any speck of humidity in the air and turn to crap. Not had a single good hair day living in the North Island. So my hair is often in a bun. Going to have to try this!
I am reading this article with a tad bit of jealousy.....well a lot if I am to be directly honest. Your hair after humidity is amazing before the trial lol. I wish I could have my hair as tame as yours....Unfortunately, without hours of straightening (after I give myself the luxury of a permanent straighten and let's be honest that was given up years ago, I mean who has time, with 2 kids in the house) I have to say my hair looks more of the Macy Gray kind....You remember her, I don't think anyone could forget her crazy curls, unfortunately for me, Mine doesn't curl like that.....but dear I say it has the frizz of the same level! I am definitely keen to try this product as I cannot even use a hairdryer without it going crazily out of control, I even wet brush it (shhh don't tell my hairdresser) as the thought of even doing my hair dry makes me cringe!
Ooohhh wow Kellie the difference is amaze!! I suffer from not fine but thick ringlets that tend to frizz and affro out. This KMS Tame Frizz looks like the answer but then I would hope it wouldn't make my ringlets straight. I have come to love my ringlets and would want them defined but smooth. Do share where you can buy it from pleeeeease?
Wow what a difference..your hair looks fabulous!..I need that product like right now lol.My hair is pretty much like yours and seems to have a mind of it's own on the second day after washing and styling so this product is going on my "buy now" list.
I don't have fine care, but I have wavy hair that often won't stay straightened in the humidity. It frizzes up not long after I go outside. I'm tempted to try this, but I also have oily hair so I'll have to sacrifice one for the other I guess lol
My hair is so frizzy - I always just twist it up in a bun to control it - I'm a bit scared that the same repeated hairstyle is doing damage to my hair but the frizz is such a tough battle. I'm definitely going to try this!
Wow sounds amazing, I'm similar but I've thick frizzy hair, i do struggle some days so i pretty much have to wash it or wet it everyday and I'm a wear it tied back girl cos it does my head in but i love having it long :)Ahh the struggles o well am happy to go through life trying to find the perfect solution :)
Wow what a difference!! My hair is fine but there is a lot of it (how that works I'll never know lol) and I have issues with a bit of frizz, not so bad where I live as not as much humidity. I can always tell how good a shampoo and conditioner are as soon as I blow-dry my hair. I use a straightener on part of my hair and always use an anti frizz
I have fine and curly hair too. The frizz after the wash and dry if beyond imagination. I am very keenly looking forward to use this product because from reading the article it sounds like it is me talking about my hair.
Kellie this is definitely the product for you -The confidence in you just shines through in the after photos and to me that is the best of a good product. If a product makes you feel good about yourself it is worth it's weight in gold ! Go Girl !
Discipline works on two levels 1) to tame and smooth hair and 2) to restore and strengthen. Kerastase have developed Morpho-Keratin complex that restores hair by replenishing hair fibres with amino acids, wheat proteins and ceramides.
The Discipline Fluidissime ($46) is a leave-in spray that I applied on damp hair as a heat protectant and on dry hair to finish the style. It also has the same gorgeous fragrance and really smooths my hair.
Great review! I have also undergone the treatment a month back and just loved the results. I have long curly hairs which were severely damaged due to bleaching while colouring by the stylist. i am using the home care keratase discipline regime after the treatment and have fallen in love with the products.Hairs have become softer, shinier, weigh less, so manageable and smells like heaven.highly recommended to curly unruly , damaged or unmanageable hair.
Hi Clare, I never posted an official follow up as I had my hair re-coloured two weeks later. I found it lasted til then and would have lasted a bit longer. I kept using the shampoo and conditioner and still have the Fluidissime which I love ?
Great review! I just looked at this t my salon 2 days ago ..they had the set on sale for 100$ ( shamppoo, conditioner and treatment) but I skipped because I hadnt read much about it then. I have the Kerastase Elixir ultime and do love that. Im probably going to get this the next time Im in now. Thanks:)
Hi, I am about to buy the discipline range! It looks amazing, but I am a bit confused, when you are talking about treatment do you refer to the mask? My hair its really frizzy, thick and unmanageable when It is not straightened. It goes frizzy when it rains, and in humidity too! Please can you advise me what to buy? would like to do thetreatment at home? Thank you
Hi Yesi, the treatment is only available in-salon. The shampoo and conditioner (masque) are what you use at home and they have a similar anti-frizz effect but it is not as strong as the in-salon treatment. I would recommend finding a salon to try the treatment and buy the shampoo and masque to use at home to prolong the anti-frizz effects x
After the treatment, what product do you use when you when you wear your hair curly. I would like to make an appointment for the treatment because I normally straighten my curly frizzy hair, but sometimes do go curly.
Thanks!
Hi Christina!
I have curly and unruly hair and I have been washing it with devacurl which I love. It has made my hair much healthier. Living in Miami though, it is very hard to escape humidity. I cut my hair short (Yasmine Sewell short), and I love I do have alot of hair and sometimes wonder about doing keratin. I did it twice and hated it (smell, texture, everything). Reading your post has made me think if I would do this, but I have been looking at kerastase website and the in salon treatment does not appear. It can only be bought at salons? Can it be applied at home?
Best
Diana
Sorry Saga, this is an in-salon treatment only but I would recommend buying the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in spray. They also contain the Morpho-Keratin complex and can provide a 72 hour humidity barrier on your hair x
Anyway, no one was on the call yet, and I figured I had a minute or two at the most. So, I took down my ponytail, raked my fingers through my hair and looked at what products I had on my desk. Then, I grabbed an organic spray deodorant and hand cream to do some improv hair stying.
First, I sprayed my hair all over with the deodorant spray to take down the overall frizz a notch (this particular deodorant is packed with essential oils, which I guessed would help with that). Then, I used a tiny bit of hand cream as an improv styler my bangs, baby hairs and ends to tame the flyaways.
With an incredibly fun design, IGK knows how to put on a performance in the packaging department. But, the real beauty of this product lies on the inside, as the Crybaby Smoothing and Finishing Serum is versatile enough to use on damp or dry hair to tackle frizz.
The Act+Acre Cold Processed Leave-In Conditioner is a well-formulated option. The brand was trichologist-developed, meaning that someone who specializes in scalp health is behind the name, and it shows.
Not only am I obsessed with the Act+Acre Showerhead I reviewed but its leave-in conditioner is a solid pick to keep frizz at bay. The product is formulated with a 2% squalane blend that deeply hydrates and strengthens the hair. In turn, I find that my frizz is virtually eliminated. And, at the same time, it helps reduce breakage.
How to use? Use on unwashed dry hair and part your hair into two-inch sections. Using the applicator tip, apply generous amount from mid-lengths to ends. I like to then work the product into each section with my fingertips. After leaving it on for 20 minutes, I hop in the shower, shampoo and condition as usual and voil. Dreamy, frizz-free and shiny strands.
The Bumble and bumble Bb. Heat Shield Thermal Protection Mist is the best heat protectant I tested, a tall order as a beauty lover who has tried dozens of them. Its ability to tame frizz, smooth out my strands and essentially hit the reset button on my hair is astounding. Plus, its smell is lovely.
Be sure to use a cooler water temperature when rinsing to close and smooth the cuticle down further for glossier locks, avoiding harsh towel-rubbing action. Detangle hair if applicable, and apply your favored styling cream, leave-in conditioner, serum or spray depending on the texture and density of the hair to mitigate frizz.
Additionally, when blow-drying with a nozzle for straight hair, aim the airflow parallel to the strands to smooth them down with a paddle or round brush, she recommends. For drying hair with a diffuser for curly hair, circulate the blowdryer around the hair without disturbing the texture to keep the curls intact.

One other thing I noticed after using the Color WOW Dream Coat anti-frizz treatment was that my hair seemed more oily than normal. I typically use Green Ablutions bar shampoo, and I have always been super happy with how clean my hair looks day to day, even when I go 2-3 days between shampoos. There is no such result in my experience from the Color Wow Dream Coat.
Thank you for your honesty and actually testing the product thoroughly. Many videos only talk about single day use and skip the fact that restyling is needed. Having to use a blow dryer every single day can be hard on hair especially curly hair, as it is already dryer than most.
