Dear friends,
You are invited to attend the fourth installment in our Schoolyard Forest Design Lecture Series on Thursday, December 7th at 11:00 AM PT/2:00 PM ET.
This session will outline the process for selecting trees suitable for a schoolyard with considerations for function, benefits, safety, and maintenance. We will frame the importance of using a climate-adapted tree planting palette focused on trees that will provide the greatest benefits for the schoolyard and local ecosystems.
Our speakers are Arran Schultz, Landscape Designer, Bay Tree Design; Joe McBride, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Landscape Architecture & Environmental Planning at UC Berkeley; and Dr. Jenn Yost, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo & Urban Forest Institute.
The lecture will be recorded and posted to our website for those of you who are unable to attend.
We hope to see many of you soon!
