Recruitment of Equity Pre-University Scholars to Assemble the Student-Run Magazine for the Equity Bank Group August Leadership Congress

From my mail yesterday; I had indicated that I will require a team of 6 pre-university scholars (currently working with the bank group)  to help with the above topic. This mail serves to request for ‘expression of interest’ from interested candidates.

 

Kindly go through the attached outline of the concept with the only COMPULSORY requirements being i) You already are a Wings to Fly Scholar Mentor or you could fill the attached form and send to cindy.l...@equitygroupfoundation.com ii) You have read, debated, discussed and challenged the positions of the various articles I have shared on the mailing list and most important ‘You and your research’ by Richard Hamming shared earlier on today.

Key elements	Details
A transformational experience	The creation of a magazine centered on the Equity Bank Leadership Congress in August 2011. A team of scholars will both edit and write for the magazine, which will then be published and distributed at Equity Bank branches. A core team of 6 scholars will manage the magazine, with the supervision of one member of staff and assistance from the Communications Department at Equity Bank. Feature Articles: Student interviews with distinguished guests and keynote speakers at the Conference Additional Articles: §  Articles on the accomplishments of peers. There will be a few articles that will cover the work that scholars currently within the program are undertaking. §  Articles on programs offered by EGF, and the various programs during the Conference. §  Articles on accomplishment of youths outside of EGF. Potential Other Articles: §  Fiction pieces by EGF Scholars
Typical Pre University Scholar	A participant in most of our programs e.g. Mentors Wings to Fly Scholars, Participating in the Ongoing Leadership Challenge, Has interest in the media, Knows and networks with other scholars, Willing to share and learn from others, Willing to come work with the Equity Foundation for the duration of the experience.
