Good Afternoon,
When we talk of Equity Scholars – most of you know each other as colleagues; fellow cashiers, ATM officers, the PIN guy at the other branch, the lady I met in induction, the guy who loaned me 2 sok last month e.t.c. Could I ask you to count just how many of them are your friends? People who know you and your beliefs, what matters to you or does not? That is the challenge for today and the day after tomorrow – when we hope to have made enough friends during our work experience at Equity.
On the other hand, I do suppose that majority of you received their invitation letters for the August Leadership Congress – Kindly do forward the email to those of you who may not have received the communication.
The Program for the Congress will be out by the end of the week – In the meantime all the various groups and their leaders have been allocated a slot to present on their chosen topics as per the various discussions/debates/deliberations they have had among themselves. Kindly refer to the communication I had sent at the beginning of the challenge on the mode of presentation.
I have duly attached 4 articles for your attention today;
Ø The Comparing Trap – Written by Thomas J Delong – Team A discussing Patience/Perseverance under the leadership of Mitchel to share their experiences as far as the title of the article is concerned.
Ø Managing Yourself – Rob Cross/Robert Thomas – Team B headed by Saddam Issack and tackling Communication to discuss the article under the topic Networking
Ø Learn to Walk with Beggars and Kings – An interview with Romil Bahl of PRGX by Adam Bryant – Teams G and H captained by Napwora and Mongare respectively to task their members on the topics Character Development and Leadership.
Ø Carlos Slim Helu – A mini Biography – A little information on the World’s Richest Man – David Edung and other members of Team E (North Rift), How can I help your group move forward?
Further, I have shared a document on the Invited Speakers for the August Conference – Team I made of Simeon Kamunde and other scholars will go through it after which I will confirm with them who is coming and who is not - and what topic I had allocated the speakers ….. and then they will draft the speaking points, goals and elements of each session, key take away lessons and among others.
Tomorrow I hope to issue a 2 Week mid-challenge Performance Report of the various groups and their leaders – Do you think your team deserves any special recognition in the Congress?
Kind regards and do have a most pleasant evening.
