Happy New Year, Equip Ladies!

We're excited about what God has in store for us and our time together this Spring.  Thanks for everyone who gave feedback concerning our small group time this semester!  Even if you didn't give feedback and weren't able to attend last semester, WE HOPE YOU'LL JOIN US!  The more the merrier!!

We've chosen to study Twelve Ordinary Men by John MacArthur.  There are 10 chapters covering the basics of the 12 disciples and how God chose to use such ordinary people to accomplish His purposes.  It should be a good study, and also one that will be easy for newbies to join us mid-semester.  We hope you'll be able to commit to joining us each week.

This semester, we'll be meeting at Amy DeArmon's apartment in the heart of Plano at the NW corner of Spring Creek & Coit (where we had a couple of pool parties last summer).  The address is 6301 Stonewood Drive, Plano 75024, and her apartment is  #2314, which is just inside the gated entrance to the LEFT of the leasing office. You may text Amy (214.927.4699), Linda (972.822.7857), or Beth (972.953.6950) for help locating the exact apartment.

We will be meeting every other week on Monday nights from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  Hopefully, our meeting nights will correspond with the guys' meeting nights.  We'll start right at 7:00 p.m. with a time to share our prayer requests and hold one another accountable for our independent time in the Word the previous two weeks, so make sure you're on time so you don't miss out on that important part of our time together.  After that, we will discuss the chapter from our book study which we all will have previously read.

A friendly reminder: the set-up for our time together is not a teacher-student set-up, but rather an equal-opportunity conversation, so it's important that you have your reading done ahead of time so we can all benefit from what each other have to say!

Here's the line-up for our meetings:

January 9--Intro
January 23-- Chapter 1: Common Men, Uncommon Calling
February 6--Chapter 2: Peter
February 20--Chapter 3: Andrew
March 5--Chapter 4: James
March 19--Chapter 5: John
April 2--Chapter 6: Philip
April 16--Chapter 7: Nathaniel
April 30--Chapter 8: Matthew/Thomas
May 14--Chapter 9: James/Simon/Judas
May 28--Chapter 10: Judas

Full price for this book is $14.99, but there seem to be lots of places to get it NOT at full price.  Locally, you might find this book at Mardel, Lifeway, Family Christian, Half Price, or Barnes & Noble.  Since you don't need a copy in hand until our January 23 meeting, you might consider ordering online.  It's available for $10 on www.walmart.com. The book is available used at www.half.com & www.amazon.com for prices as low as $1!

We are looking forward to having each and every one of you join us, so make plans now to attend! :)

One more note about this Monday:

Bryan has offered to open his home after Bible study Monday night for us to watch the championship game with the guys (pretty sure it's LSU vs. Alabama...).  Since we're only covering the introduction to our new book Monday night, we will probably have a shorter meeting than usual.  So if you're interested you can head over with us to Bryan's afterward for an 8:15ish game start time.  Should be a fun opportunity to hang out with people from class.  Hope you can join us!

Linda
